All Right, This one's in the books!
    Who are the next victims?
Will the Pistons be back? Does the Pistons owner want Brown back? Is he healthy enough to come back? If not, they are done!
If Wade and Shaq were healthy last year, they would've beaten the Pistons.

Answering this means guessing if we sign Scola, trade Rasho for Rahim and resign Brown... and what other teams look like.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

First, we had the Jordan rules.
Now, here come the Manu rules.

I guess you mean the Finals...

Uh... No to Abdur-Rahim. It's not going to happen. Figure on Scola coming in and possibly Oberto. We'll have that freakish Argentine mind-meld going on.

We'll beat everybody, of course. Last year we beat every team at least once, the first time that's happened in a while. We also won or tied every single season series, no mean feat.

... uh... so who comes out of the east in the Finals? Indiana looks particularly nasty, but their players top off just under Manu-level, much less Tim-level. Detroit will always be there, but possibly without Larry. I see Miami. That's what my crystal ball says. Miami. With a slightly motivated Shaq realizing this is it for him. We finally get the Duncan-O'Neal showdown in the final frame.

I don't see it being as compe ive as this year's Finals, though.

Yeah, sorry I wasn't really clear, but I did mean the Finals. Even watching every game I could catch (I had league pass but also class), I didn't realize we had won or tied every series. That's cool! Indiana impressed me a lot last year! I would have voted for Carlisle as coach of the year. Maybe I'm wrong and I don't want to underestimate Detroit (especially after they took us to seven games), but I think that we are a much better team than they are. We just did not show it. I know their offense is better than it is given credit for, but the Spurs' offense is still much better. I also think that without a true superstar, after this loss, they will not be the same. The first year the Lakers underestimated them and the Pistons were more unified and so good defensively. The Lakers were not team oriented. Therefore, it didn't hurt them to not have a true superstar. However, to have to be picked up off of a loss against a team with two superstars with lots of game who aren't old has to take them off their pedestal. They know the Spurs are just going to get better. Without a star to carry them, I don't think they will be the same.
I think you are right about playing the Heat. If we do play the Heat, we may need Rasho and T Mass for that matter. We will need all the fouls we can get. Would you expect huge numbers out of O Neal at this point? I am not sure if he can put them up at his age? He's getting pretty old right? Like 32 or something? What can he realistically do? Thanks for the info and the reply? Any thoughts or comments would be cool-

Too cool that we won game five! Especially the way that Big Shot Rob came through the way that he always does!!! What a way to break the hearts of the fans of Detroit!

For any doubters in 06, the fact that Horry resigned with us not the Heat ought to tell you something! The man does not sign with losers, and he sure isn't going to do it at this time in his career! He's got his pick of teams and he knows we are the cream of the crop!

Ron Artest is back and I don't think he will do anything ed up this year because he knows now how it feels to have no NBA for just about a year and no pay.

Yeah, plus O Neal will be healthy too! Isn't Stephen Jackson (and possibly Croshere also ) a free agent?

    They still almost beat Detroit!

Jackson signed a 5 or 6 year deal last summer.

    True -

It's not like I love Pacers (or for that matter any EC team), but I feel the same abt Pacers making it out of east. I hate their thuggish outlook (pistons are close with all trash-talk abt. "belts", "that's what we do" "rip city" "no respect" etc.), but pacers have a great coach and it's about time he shoves it to pistons for firing him 2 yrs ago.

I had to check the timestamp on this one.

I could have sworn we went back in time, and the Pistons had another chance to win. Oh well, back to scouting summer camps.

By the way.. do you think Bogut will go to the Bucks?

I don't know, I tend to think that with the experience and core that the Pistons have they should be back next year, with or without Larry. I tend to think that the weren't really playing for Larry when they beat the Heat in game 7, but for themselves. Indy, if they can get healthy, should be able to challenge them for the ECF but Detroit still has a year left in them I think. Miami will be a 3 seed by default more than anything. Shaq is breaking down and Wade is going to be under too much pressure unless the Heat can get him a quality PG to play with.

I do see Indiana coming back with a vengeance.

No way is Wade getting MVP over his teammate Shaq.

has to be wade, shaq's shot was this year and he's not known to improve year to year, or at least i don't think he has. wade has been a terror in the playoffs for two straight years and has that garnett-factor going in his favor (street cred, folks like him, young, explosive, etc.). i'd argue that sans wade, the heat don't go anywhere and see his importance in the game 7 of the ecf.

    West: MAvericks,Rockets,Suns,and NUggetts.

East: Heat,Pistons, and a full squad Pacers.

The Laker experiment reunion will not do anything special in 06.

Spurs over Miami 4-2 Manu MVP and Nike will start the "Air Ginobilis" line of tennis shoes and the saying will be "Wannu be like Manu"
