how high would you rate him as a pitcher in the league right now? top 10? top 5? top 3?

Needs to put together a full season of this before i call him elite tbh. A few other Asian pitchers have done what Yu has thus far and then flamed out completely. That said, he's pretty badass, seems mentally tough, and he throws more like an American pitcher than any of the weak-minded s before him.
Rangers need to do whatever they have to do to keep this guy happy and keep him on the team.
Looks pretty good. Can't wait till the Angels take him.
Right now he is easily in the top 5 imo but we have to wait until he faces a quality lineup.
Waaaaaaay too soon to rate him that high. Really like what I've seen out of him thus far, however.
They play with a smaller ball in Japan so it can be hard to project. I haven't watched him much but if he can torque his breaking balls similar to his stuff in Japan then he is likely legit.

The best part about that gif is that it shows his release point is the exact same for all of his pitches. Dude is nasty - I love watching him pitch.
