Yup, seen it many times, no idea what it means. It's not an Aussie thing that I know of. Maybe it's mocking the idea that they could be "handcuffed" by the defence?

I haven't notice despite watching all the playoff games and most reg season but I think I read on here it has something to do with Kawhi(his big hands). Like his super power.

It's to signify the amount of players ahead of them on the depth chart. They started it after becoming teammates on the Spurs.

Patty Mill is a very passionate bench warmer. He's a great addition for team moral imho.

it's a tribute to that one dude in Road Warrior who gets his fingers chopped off by the Boomerang kid in Road Warrior. Aussies live for that movie, I don't blame them. Perfect action movie.

actually though I think it's a tribute to Kawhi and his massive hands. or what ace3g just said.

Patty Mills has to be among the greatest non-rotation players of all-time. And I'm serious.

It's a reference to the fact that Leonard has HUGE hands. They do it on the bench whenever Leonard makes a big play.

I suspected it was related to Leonard's freakish hand size, but very cool to see it confirmed by Patty.

And Yes, Patty is the best bench role player this team has ever seen. Love that guy and his enthusiasm. If you can't play, bring it in some other way!
