    It looks like his knee injury ed him because his nerd numbers were pretty good in Boston..rebound rate, PER, TS%, points & rebounds per 36 min etc. all thru the roof compared to now..

    ^Ya, Perkins was actually a very solid player a few years ago, and the Jeff Green trade made plenty of sense at the time for OKC, tbh..

    Perkins was heralded as an elite post defender, he was arguably the best screen-setter(illegal, obviously) in the league, and he wasn't a complete scrub in the other facets of the game like he is now..

    OKC needed to match up with LA on D, and even on offense, having Perkins setting screens for Durant/Westbrook/Harden should have been helpful..

    The injury is probably the only explanation, tbh..

    OKC didn't lose series because of Perkins. They lost because Russell Westbrook was out. Next year when Westbrook is back OKC will probably get back to Finals while Gasol, Randolph and Grizz will once again be a 5-8 playoff seed.
