i'm not assuming anything. they can still grab one out of pride.

How funny would it be if the Spurs sweep and then lose in the Finals to the Heat?
Last I checked, it was lodged 2ft into Dwight's ass tbh.
not assuming anything either, tbh... I thought they gave us their best shot last game... if we hit our 3s at an average rate, they can't keep up, IMO.
Would be sweet to close it at the grindhouse...
nothing wrong with that, IMO... ceiling was WCF and we got there... all of this is house money... just being in the finals again would be amazing, tbh
Predictable playoffs this year, I said that whoever had the HCA in the Finals was definitely winning this year.
Not very.
Look, I was happy with the Spurs season after the regular season ended, so all of this is gravy to me. But to get to the finals and watch Stern screw with us would be unpleasant.
Am I the only one who laughs at that nicname?
"The Grindhouse" sounds like a strip club or some .
Sweeping them there would also destroy their other schticks, tbh... "grit and grind", "we don't bluff", etc...

As soon as Westbrick went down the ceiling became the Finals tbh. Don't expect them to beat the Heat but there was no reason to think they couldn't get that far.
The Heat have homecourt and are the defending champs but people have a need to put them on a ing pedestal. Of course they look like a million bucks because that's the best money can buy for them....but, they also play in the Leastern Conference. They wouldn't have a size advantage on us. Do you guys really fear that meth addict birdman trying to defend TD? They can let Lebron stad pad all he wants and get his razzle dazzle bull . If we put Kawhi on a broken-down Wade, they may not have enough firepower to hang with us. Who knows? But they can be beat. First things first, though. Let's sweep and get our revenge on those punks from Memphis.
It would not be funny at all!
Four sweeps in 2 seasons.
That's gotta be a record of some sort.
Mugen, you're HILARIOUS!!
Who's gonna' pull it out and lodge it into Z-Bo's or Gasol's (whichever one you slobber over more) fat ass next!???![]()

At least the Spurs would be Western Conference Champions. Still would love to get#5, though.
Funny? No. Expected. Getting to the Finals again for TD would be huge, I think most of us would take that a few years ago with the prospect of TD retiring soon.
I don't think we sweep, though it's possible given the mental state Memphis displayed in the press conference last game and how they didn't even bother to foul in OT with 30 seconds left, down 9.
No, they are a monster. Conference be damned, they are two superstars (best player in the game and a top 5), and one franchise player (Bosh) who's long and shoots 3s and the midrange really well, best 3pt shooter in the history of the game, and one of the smartest defenders in the NBA (Shane).
They are weak at PG and coaching (imo) but don't pretend they are overrated.
^ this
Everyone will expect the Heat to just steamroll the Spurs, so all the pressure will be on Miami. Spurs should be loose and just have fun.![]()
I don't think they're overrated. I just don't think they should be crowned already and have the Spurs DOA'd.
That won't happen (just having fun) but for me, the WCF win will be the pinnacle to the season and TD's career. If he gets #5, I might reconsider my religious stance.
I don't think anyone has, but faith and pep isn't going to get them there. Had RW not gone down, we'd be struggling to beat the Thunder. The Thunder would be torched again by the Heat. We're at least two notches below the Heat, but that doesn't mean we cannot beat them, we can but a lot of that depends on the Heat even if we are at our very best.
The Spurs need to finish it tonight. The Grizz don't really have anything realistic to play for. Pride I guess but come on. No one has come back from 3-0 and these guys aren't going to be the first. Play the way you did after the first quarter, get a decent lead, and put em away.
