A re ed general?
Concert kicked ass! They brought a retired general up. To the stage and then brought up some wounded vets and told their war stories. Gave a free house away! Alot of red white & blue testosterone! Its always good when peeps puts politics aside and root for this country! How did i spend 80 bucks on beer and im not drunk smh
George is like Tim, never stops producing. Dude's got like 60 number 1 hits. Never sold out anything but concerts, no face lifts or crazy ass "Chris Gaines" like moments. Just does his thing. Laid back easy going, gotta love George.
When it comes to actual talent these country n; westen guys have it all over the rockers, rappers, etcetc.
Some of those bluegrass bands, totally amazing.
$200 to sit in the third balcony of the Alamodome.....$600-$800 for anything on the lower level...over $1000 for floor
George should be ashamed....
If anyone hasn't seen the movie "Pure Country," it's a great movie.
What's wrong with supply and demand pricing?
Actually it's a ty movie, George is embarrassed of it.
Many have come and gone during the reign of King George.
Really?
I never heard that.
The man kicks ass. I wish I could have gone. I don't even care for country music but love me some George Strait.
It's always dangerous agreeing with WC, but if Strait can get those prices what's wrong with him charging them? That's how musicians make their money; by going on tour. Record companies sure don't pay them for the most part. I wouldn't pay $250 even if they could resurrect Hendrix and have him put on a show, but I guess it's worth it to other people.
George prices were 60-110ea, with some VIP packages for 500ea and 1kea. The 1k packages were front row seats, and 500ea packages were floors up to row 15 and lowers first 5 rows. Nbadan is talking outta his ass, George is not getting the money brokers/scalpers charge for their tickets. If anything George priced to low for the madness that ensued after the on sale. I think around 6k tickets sold on SH that day, i havent seen anything like that, specially for a concert.
Not bad for $60-110.
The concert sold out in less than an hour...so all there was were scalper prices...George Strait should have broken the scalpers back and held back tickets or announced a second show...
You couldn't get those prices BB...
This is his hometown....don't we deserve two shows?
he...he.....
Least some wounded warriors got to go....but if you spent $200 or any amount of money to sit in the third balcony of the Alamo dome to watch anything that doesn't have the word 'Monster' in the le, your an idiot...
You are probably right. They probably could have charged $100 to $200 for those cheaper tickets, and still sold out in a day.
U deserved two shows, i don't understand why he didn't add seeing it was his last spot. But u are wrong on the tickets being un-buyable, he just allocated in a very stupid fashion. Id be making up if i talked percentages, but it didn't feel like there were more then 10 percent of total tickets allocated to general on sale. The majority of tickets went to his fanclub ( which was 20 bucks i think) and amex presales, and on those you could easily buy just about anything.
i'm willing to bet that there are millions of George Strait fans who couldn't afford $200 tickets....there were unbuyable..But u are wrong on the tickets being un-buyable,
...and it would have been nice, although not required, if George gave some of that money to a charitable organization here in SA...I mean, dude owns the rights to 60 number one hits...and hundreds of others....why does he need to hoard all the cash?
George Strait needs to own up...I'm calling him out.....
Where are you George?
