The guy is ridiculous. 7 weeks into the season, he's flirting with .400 and on pace for almost 200 RBIs. I don't think he'll break the RBI record and it's still a long shot to win another triple crown, but watching him every night is absolutely something to behold. He hits to all fields. He hits for power to all fields. Grounders are more like skipping rockets at infielders. Can hit the inside pitch in on his hands out of the park to straight away center, and can take a breaking ball low and outside and crush it out to RF. And for someone with so much pure power, he is so willing to take a pitch where it is and settle for a measly single. Leads the entire major league in basically every relevant hitting category other than HRs, and many of them by a wide margin. Dude is crazy.
That HR he hit off the fastball up and in against the Rangers was ridiculous enough, but ing dude hit it over CENTER FIELD, that is some very solid swing technique.
