They played?
Last night's Finals game was no surprise. No shockers. No upsets. The Spurs are the favorites in this series and last night was a regular win for the Spurs. The Spurs just went out, played a team they were supposed to beat, and beat them. Nothing more. Nothing less. No trash talking against the Heat. Nothing personal against the Heat. The Spurs are the better team in the series.
LeBron James shot 7-for-16 from the floor, below 50%, for 18 points in the NBA Finals. This is LeBron James in his 10th season in the league scoring 18 points in the Finals. At first it seems like an underperformance, but it is LeBron James. He is Nick Van Exel with a bunch of endorsements. Nothing personal against LeBron. I'm not trash talking him, but he's not that good. Last night's performance proves it. LeBron failed to make a critical defensive play against Tony Parker, and Parker made a shot with 0.1 seconds, but that's a shot that Parker can usually make with 0.1 seconds on the clock, so that's not a big shock. Nothing personal. Tony Parker just made a shot he was supposed to make. No need for highlight reels or storylines or media attention. This is a three-time NBA champion.
Chris Bosh shoots 6-for-16, also below 50%, for 13 points in the NBA Finals. For one of the three players who was supposed to win Miami 8 championships, this may also seem like an underperformance. But Chris Bosh is Vlade Divac with a Hollywood storyline. The skill level isn't any different than Vlade. He just happened to ride the hype of LeBron's Decision a couple of years ago. Again, no trash talking. Chris Bosh just had the game he was supposed to have, nothing more, nothing less.
Dwayne Wade shoots 7-for-15, below 50%, for 17 points. Again, a player in his 10th season in the NBA and he's scoring 17 points in the NBA Finals when he's supposed to be a franchise player. Wade is more of an Eddie Jones at this point than the Wade he was 7 years ago in the 2006 Finals.
Again, no trash talking here. The Spurs are the favorites in the series. Nothing more, nothing less. No storylines. No ESPN articles. No big dramas. No video cameras. The Spurs are just doing what they're supposed to do.
Wait the spurs won yesterday?
THanks face.
Man, SpursDynasty used to run shop around here. He's fallen so far it's just sad.
Spurs just performed one more boil-frog test on their opponents as usual. they never dazzle you with a 12-0 run or something, they just keep the game close and will always end up with 2-3 more points than the opposing team, to piss off the opposing team
Yeah, but, if the horse is dead. Do you still beat it?
Because if it's dead, then it is no longer effected by the means of beating. Essentially making the beating obsolete.
seems like pop has tightened the players rotation down to 7-8 players
still less bonner + neal or whoever is cold should be bench straight away....
i wonder why blair or baynes didnt get any minutes to test the miami bigs if they can hang with them....
