Would god-mode Dirk Nowitzki really let go of game 6 like that? Would Carlisle sit Tyson Chandler for those 2 consecutive defensive possessions? Does Jason Terry go for 1/12 in the deciding game? Would J-Kidd commit 8 turnovers?

Will Dirk Nowitzki still be in the NBA at age 37, let alone leading his team in the Finals?

the 11' dirk show was the most brilliant individual performance by any single player in the playoffs I've ever seen tbh. 06' dirk was just as great and probably even better through the western playoffs but the finals defeat ruined it all

Dirk played against a timid Lebron.

Would dirk have been able to handle this year's version? I have my doubts

How can you compare these two teams? The 2011 Mavs walked away with the Larry O'Brien trophy and made Lebron act like a and Bosh like a pussy. 2011 Mavs were massively better than this runner up Spurs team. My Mavs won their game 6. My Mavs had the killer instinct that this Spurs team did not have. They always had an answer for every time that the Heat would try to come back. The Mavs wanted the Larry O'Brien trophy more than Superfriends in 2011.

If the Spurs play 2011 Lebron (the one that was scared and averaged 2 pts in the 4th qtr of the series). Spurs win in 5. Anyone with real basketball knowledge knows this.

LeBron came off a great series vs Chicago in 2011.... he doesn't shut himself down. The Mavs did the job.

game 6 makes the sheer difference between those two teams. Mavs were more determined and more hungry, and it finally delivered. Spurs' vets also have the heart of a champion but it looked like their role players and youngsters didn't have tough enough mentality to withstand the heavy pressue in the NBa finals. like i said between game 4 and game 5, you can't count on kids to win you the championship but that was the exact reality the spurs were facing because their center pieces were old and tired
