Too late. He's on his way home. All he had to do was explain his work situation and they let the judge let him go.
He's dismissed from service without being called?
He's picked for a civil jury and sees the case through.
He's picked for a criminal jury and sees the case through.
He's picked for a jury but the case doesn't go to trial.
He's arrested/ticketed for trying to get out of jury duty.
It could be a number of things...

Yeah, they let you off really easy.
Well, that blows.....
For my poll.
Kori should have done a vbookie and bet on it after she knew the result...![]()
That was sweet.
It was packed. I got there 30 minutes early and there was already 100 people in line. By the time everyone got there, it was pushing 400 people. People had to stand in the aisles while they scrambled for more chairs.
The judge lady came out and she did her guilt-trip speech. She said that serving on a jury is the most American thing you can do. She also said it was her 40th wedding anniversary ... so if she was there, nothing should keep any of us from staying. She then went over the seven exemptions that can get you out of jury duty and then left and said if anyone had cir stances that fell under one of the exemptions, they could meet her in her chambers. None of the seven applied to me, so I almost chickened out of going to her chambers.
Luckily I thought better of it and went back there. I was one of only five people trying to get out of it. I heard her turn a couple people down so I was assuming that she was going to turn me down. But when it was my turn, I explained that I can't really miss a full day of work and how I was honored but I couldn't serve at this time. After some more timvp charm, she agreed to let me out of it.
My advice is that if you ever need to get out of jury duty, do not attempt getting out of it when you go there. Call ahead or something. Once you are there, they make it tough to get out. A lot of people were talking about how they were going to try to get out of it, but after the speech and considering the fact that you have to go state your case in front of the judge ... most people won't do it.
Thanks goes out to the kind judge.

P.S.
If there comes a point in timvp's life where he is able to serve on a jury without it conflicting with his well-being, he'd be more than happy to fulfill his duty.
P.P.S.
America, Funk Yeah!

She probably gives that "40th anniversary" speech every day.

I picked arrested.
I May Be Mistaken But There Looks To Be A Pre-edited Error On The Runaway Jury Cover.
