He's a free agent? Do it mitch!
He's a free agent? Do it mitch!
This has nothing to do with the Spurs.
No, and we are not getting him.
I thought since we had talked about acquiring him several days ago it was relevant.
First, he'd probably refuse to be a starter, second, too much money probably, third he sucks.
He has shown an affinity for Pop and the system. He'd be a good pickup.
You surely meant "refuse to come off the bench". Secondly, the Lakers have to pay the difference of his salary. So, if we pay him 2 million, Lakers pay him 5 million. Either way, he gets paid. Third - we have no backup SF at the moment. Dude has 2 rings. We could do worse.
big fan of Metta. nig is like the syd barrett of the nba. not sure how good his athleticism is at this point, but to be fair, i'm sure Pop would use him much better and sparingly than 'Antoni.
You forgot fourth, he doesn't want to be here. He'll retire first.
Sounded like he was a pretty big fan of the Spursburger during the Finals' run.
Shine on some other team, you crazy diamond.
No. No. No. No. No. No. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He wants to go New York or Brooklyn.
Yes I did mean that, working 40 hours a week combined with taking two summer classes, one 4 week, and the other 8 week, has ruined my ability to think clearly. Of course we could do much worse, but I honestly don't think he'd do anything for SA. His FG% has gotten pretty bad and his ball handling is getting worse and worse, and he has no lateral quickness anymore.
The Stephen Jackson experiment will not allow Pop to have Metta on board.
Come on! The entertainment value alone would be worth the contract.
He would be pure entertainment though..
Metta World Peace @MettaWorldPeace5h
I'm going to play for Yao Mings team in china!I can't wait to arrive in Shanghai !!

LOL he is so damn crazy he makes Tyson seem sane half the time......
His twitter is one surprise after another.
He'll end up in Miami. If they amnesty Miller, Metta would be a good pickup for them for the vet min. He'd be their Kawhi stopper.
Metta can offer value as a back-up. He has lost a lot of quickness but he's still serviceable and experienced. If he doesn't want to play here, so be it, we'll be fine. We have until the trade deadline to find a solution not named McGrady.
