tbh Kemp never told anyone that day of his signing. it was all ty sources from Broussard and the sort that kept second guessing.

What happened to all the rules that the CBA made in regards to amnestied players?
What happens to amnestied players: A player waived under the amnesty clause must go through the waiver process, which lasts 48 hours. During that time, a team can claim an amnestied player by making a full waiver claim and assuming the player's full contract. If no full waiver claims are submitted, partial waiver claims allow teams that have room under the salary cap to bid on the player and acquire him at a reduced rate. The team with the highest bid is awarded the player. If multiple teams bid the same amount, the team with the worst record is awarded the player. http://newsok.com/breaking-down-the-...rticle/3826854
Seems to me like MWP got his wish of playing for the Knicks without having to go through any of the bidding process by other teams. Aren't the Knicks way over the cap? Did they use the MLE? How did it all happen? Did $tern not give a shi* about the rules?

He cleared waivers yesterday (meaning he went through the process and nobody bid on him) and they used a portion of the mini-MLE....

LOL, what a smart move by MWP. He ed and cried about not wanting to play for certain teams and installed fear into them. Nobody bids and now he gets his way. Well I'm glad he went to the Knicks. I'm all in for any improvement of eastern conference teams just to decrease the chances of the cHeat winning it all again.

ing and crying doesn't guarantee nobody will bid on you (just ask Chauncey, who tried the same thing and it didn't stop multiple teams from bidding on him), he just lucked out in that nobody under the cap really had a need for him, tbh....

You're a Clippers fan so I trust what you say about Chauncy Billups instead of wasting my time trying to google the story. I guess MWP is one lucky SOB.

he should've been drafted by the knicks the first time around. Instead the knicks draft the guy who's ass got posterized by vince carter in the 2000 olympics and did not play a single nba game. Better late than never i guess

I don't know why they ever let him get away. He was awesome defensively for LA in 2012.

Good for Metta. A chance for a small slice of Eastern Conference redemption.

it's always a pleasure to work in one's hometown I guess that's also a reason why my goddess so loves making music. She makes those songs in NY so she has more time to spend ambling around her childhood neighbors and alma maters. I also enjoy it alot and that's why I'm going to come back to school after two years being out of school, and the school I'm going to attend is literally next door to my alma mater so I can trespass back on the familiar campus any chance I get
