NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I cosign...Blake is on the way out obviously...Would be a nice tough player off the bench and a good insurance policy to Nash's inevitable injury...A rotation of Nash, Robinson, Farmar, Blake will be enough to handle any guard combo in the West...great pick-up if it goes down..the kid is tough as nails...
According to Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld.com, the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in acquiring point guard Nate Robinson. With the Lakers using the amnesty provision on Metta World Peace and becoming active on the open market, this comes with little surprise.
While some have criticized the potential for a deal being executed, signing Robinson would be a wise move for the Lakers.
and Before you start with the chucker bull check this out:
During the 2012-13 regular season, Robinson averaged 13.1 points and 4.4 assists in 25.4 minutes of action. He posted a player efficiency rating (PER) of 17.43, made 40.5 percent of his three-point field goals and posted the second-highest assist ratio of his career.
The previous high came just one year prior—that's what you call consistency.
In 2011-12, Robinson finished with averages of 11.2 points and 4.5 assists in 23.4 minutes with the Golden State Warriors. He posted a PER of 18.05 and shot 36.5 percent from three-point range.
this is becoming embarrassing...
if they sign him we might as well hand Lakers the LOB, no point in playing next season, these guys are stacked
what a joke if Stern doesn't veto this
Savior Robinson
Lakers getting stacked on role players but have no all-stars![]()
I wouldn't mind having him on the Spurs as a backup PG to Tony Parker only if he plays the way the OP mentioned. The reason teams don't want him is because of his height so his short stature makes him a liability on defense. The guy plays with a lot of hear though, I'll give him that.
tell me Nate doesn't have more heart than Blake..younger, hungrier, tougher, and way more athletic...tell me why NOT
Nate players better defense than Blake..this would be huge steal for the Lakers tbh
I don't want to blow my own horn, but, I was all for this guy a couple years back and Venti called me everything but an elderly white man.
I would actually bump Farmar to 3rd string in my pecking order![]()
he dunked on Shaq, therefore Nate>Shaq
he should be able to carry Kobe to atleast a few more rings tbh
I'm going to be silently happy if we land this dude...it would be an impressive haul after losing the Sex Machine
The Lakers are stacked with white unathletic point guards right now, if they make it happen, good move imho.
I get what you're saying but they already have Nick Young and Kobe. They don't need another guard who suffers from cantpasstheballitis
dare I say this but if we could trade Nash and land Brandon Jennings paired with Nate...problem solved - lol
honestly, i like him as a defensive upgrade, thats about it, other than that, hes like a ter version of westbrook.
First Kaman, Nick Young, and Wes ing Johnson and now they're going after Nate Robinson?holy the Lakers are going to be the worst defensive team of all-time
Nate can pass!...we need play makers and athletes....Blake and Nash are athletic liabilities right now
Westbrook is real tbh
and the SPurs are a good defensive team? I think not...
They were an elite defensive squad last season dumb![]()
too bad they couldnt play D for 28 more seconds![]()

Spurs: #3
Lakers (with 3-time DPOY Dwight Howard): Tied for 18th with Brooklyn
replacing Dwight and MWP with Kaman and adding no defense chuckers like Young, Johnson (add no offense to this one) and now perhaps Robinson and thinking your defense will get better
elite my ass
