Did Knicks overcome a Reggie dagger?
I believe MJ's Bulls overcame a Reggie pushoff game winner as well.
I can only think of a few late game daggers in a playoff series that a team overcame. Sadly a few of them involve the Lakers. Fisher .4, Horry vs Pistons and Kings, Ray Allen vs. Spurs all pretty much changed the momentum of a series and the other team never truly got it back.
1. Suns overcame Kobes dagger with a crusher by Tim Thomas.
2. Pistons overcame Kobes miracle 3
3. Showtime Lakers overcame a DJ dagger in 85 iirc.
Can you think of some famous daggers that a team was able to overcome and win the series?
Did Knicks overcome a Reggie dagger?
I believe MJ's Bulls overcame a Reggie pushoff game winner as well.
Perhaps the Orlando Magic overcoming Lebron's game winner in 09?
Great example. Forgot that one ...
Miami overcame Duncan's tip in...oh wait, he missed that over 6'7 battier![]()
I appreciate the effort but that shot would have only tied the game had he made it re . i know you didn't actually watch it since it didn't involve Kobe but learn the facts before looking like a complete asshurt tool.![]()
You could say they overcame Parker's dagger at the end of Game 1 though
That was a bad one. And he didn't give two s for Phoenix. God just dropped his ass here for a moment. me.
Thought about that but didn't remember score did that win it or just put the nail in the coffin? I was thinkin game winners or game tying daggers.
Much like Spurs we were felled by a failure to secure a rebound. Marion IIRC played the Bosh role and Thomas that hump buried us where he stood much like Ray but at least Allen is a somebody.
Probably the only series I've ever rooted for the Lakers - I hated the Suns during that era and the incessant knobslobbing of Steve Nash. I thought the Suns were buried.
I will forever hate Tim Thomas for that .
Ok now think that was not for the le and you have to feel for Spur fan. I thought we have a chance for the upset not planning how to skip work for the parade. Dat was much worse. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy ...
There's what u were trying to say the entire time.
No, not really. Was just thinking about it wih all the talk of 6, .4 etc. I was just trying to think of times when teams overcome it (the dagger).
I have not beenthe one parroting 6 on here that has been other Laker fans. I obviously watch a lot of Laker games so those examples came to mind. And if this was a Spur bash thread why would I bring up Tim thomas or DJ in 1985?
Those s all hurt as a fan. I dont think any was as bad as "6" ...ande certainly Tim Thomas did not snatch away a le, we had no shot. But that is not the story I was trying to discuss examples where teams overcame those daggers and so far only Magic vs. Cavs truly pasts that test. But I AM SURE they are others ...
And that miracle step back 3 over LBJ and then drive on Rio in Gm 6.
Forgot about that shot.
Harlan didn't do his usual "GOOOOOOD" after the make. Seems like both commentators were rooting for the Fakers for some reason.
That too. Parker went God mode there in the closing moments, too bad Pop had his head up his ass.![]()
That was the game before Kobe quit
didnt recover from that dagger
Too bad pop missed 2 free throws in the last 29 seconds
Dude stfu, Spurs were up 5 with 28 seconds to go regardless. You don't pull the franchise's best player and one of the greatest rebounders ever when all you need is...a ing rebound. I love Pop but he makes mistakes too, get the over it. He shat his pants.
We needed a ft just as much if not more than a rebound. You can play all the hypotheticals you want, like wondering if Tim was in the game, would the heat have generated better first looks, would Duncan have gotten the rebound then anyway. The only fact is 1 more point ices the gamePERIOD. When pop pulled Timmy against the warriors late in game 1 and in the close out game 6, it was rightfully praised. Pop did in game 6 vs Miami what has worked well when needing to prevent 3 pointers. Hindsight is a cool story though, bro
Thomas blowing kisses to Dirk
tee, hee
tim motha en thomas ...
