I was actually surprised that for all of the talk of Tim winning NBA citizenship awards and being the bastion of NBA Cares he's once again lagging behind Kobe in yet another important category. Fact is (real talk) I do more than Tim Duncan by way of Charitable giving. even though his donations are larger I hope.

Charitable Giving: Kobe Bryant vs. Tim Duncan

Tim Duncan: (only giving to 2 charities that support 5 causes)

    Charities:

    Causes:

    Cancer, Children, Education, Health, Sports

Kobe Bryant: (giving to 6 charities supporting 13 causes)

    Charities:

    Causes:

Adoption, Fostering, Orphans, AIDS & HIV, At-Risk/Disadvantaged Youths, Blood, Marrow & Organ Donation, Cancer, Children, Disaster Relief, Education, Family/Parent Support, Mental Challenges, Miscellaneous, Physical Challenges, Women

    Sources: Click on name: Tim
    Kobe

Kirby's given 6 wins away to the league as a whole so far; he also gave rings away to Detroit, Boston, and Vanessa.

    True charity

to whom much is given much is demanded....apparently this was a lesson lost on him for crying out loud he started a foundation to talk about fitness for kids...how cliche is that....and then he donates to American Cancer Society...the question is what avg citizen doesn't donate to American Cancer Society..his contributions seem token to me...almost as an after thought what a shame....Donald Sterling was right for the most part

Kobe's definetly got Tim on this one. Kobe has given away houses built by proud mehicans to his wife, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law. Am I forgetting someone else. Who else does Vanessa got?

Kobe also gives to Purses for Pussies. Something Tim has never done.

Not surprising when you consider how much more free time Kirby has on his hands.

With Kobe stealing $30 million from the Lakers this year, he better damn well be doing all the charity work he can.

In recent years, I've come to expect this type of post -- demonstrating in-depth research and focus on a topic -- from Lakers' fans between mid-April and late-June.

I'm actually a little worried about Kobe now that I know what a stupendous philanthropist he is. I can only imagine the magnitude of the Schindler's List style breakdown that he'll have when he realizes how much more he could have done had he just been a half decent human being.

"The cost of my legal team in Colorado...that could have helped some child get a kidney. Buying Vanessa back with that ring? A daycare center for low income families. Paying the blackmail to get The Tape back? Could have bought rubbers for the whole continent of Africa...The half that Vanessa took the day after I announced my retirement? Think of how much more begging we could have done for Dwight!"

Kobe is more of a volume donator, where he donates money to a lot of different charities but ultimately only makes an impact in a couple of charities.

Whereas Duncan picks and chooses his organizations to make sure he makes maximum impact with his donations.

Tammy hasn't changed his charities since 2001...he's doing some token . Lol I mean he has a foundation but I'm sure a little more research will show he doesn't donate to it...he also gives to the standard Cancer society that everyone gives to.

    Lol @sweet Tammy s
