Sup guys? I've never really been the jersey kind of guy.. never thought they really looked right on me until recently. I've been looking at jerseys for the big three and I was wondering what you guys thought on the replica jerseys vs the swingsman ones.

What's the difference in material, looks, and is it worth it to buy a swing jersey (which is almost double the price)?

Swing man is the best jersey I've worn. Great look and feel. Letters and names are heat sealed. I've had mine for almost two years and still looks great. I'm looking to buy the leonard alternate swingman spurs jersey soon

Swingman is much nicer and worth the extra coin. I think it's something like $20 more and there are all kinds of random promotions on NBA.com ... Amex had a cash back thing a while back, Chase has cash back through its portal, etc. which will have recoup some of the difference. I think replica jerseys are almost as bad as a t-shirt and over twice the price. Better to splurge on one nice one than own a few bad quality ones.

I got very lucky and found an authentic Duncan one on sale somewhere when the NBA tweaked the uniform design (not as drastic as what the NFL did by changing to Nike, but think it happened a few years ago). Got it for like $150. Who really cares what year it's from?

I realize this is grounds for heresy but looking at that jersey makes me wish the Spurs had an alternate utilizing those fiesta colors. It would sell like hotcakes judging by how many of the '89-'02 logo hats I see around town these days.

I have 3 Authentic Jerseys, about 15 Swingman and 3 replicas (big 3) and I never wear the Replica jerseys for one reason- the shoulders width. They are extra wide for some reason and hang over the arm and look/feel awkward, kind of like the way the Houston jersey looks. Also the letters on the replica are just screen printed. They feel light to wear, but look average.

the Swingman jerseys have printed letters/numbers which are then s ched into the jersey. Also, the material used for the actual jersey is a bit different!

And the Authentic ones are just SWEET! I have an authentic Manu and Parker. I also managed to get the Parker signed!

I like my Tim Duncan swingman jersey that I have had for about 12 years. It has the letters and numbers sewn on.

For sure. I've been crying for one for yrs. like if they did a complete 180 and came out with a completely different alt logo/concept, with teal, pink, orange on black or white, akin to what the Mavs were wearing a couple of years back (the green ones).

Like u said. Would sell like hot cakes

Not even a 1/10th of the potential coolness they could make from a nicely designed alt.
