We have the Mavericks and Spurs as the center of basketball in Texas. But how about them Rockets? When will they finally win an NBA le after the Hakeem days?

They may win 1 in the next 100 years but even so they wont become relevant enough in Texas to be considered worthy of a mention along with Spurs and Mavs.
They'll be the 2nd seed in the West by the end of the season.

Time to revive this thread, tbh. Still leaning on that within 50 years prediction?
The Rockets are awfully overrated imho, they're still only the 3rd best team in their division at their finest (behind Spurs and Memphis, almost parallel to us). Winning the championship for them is just as much of a pipedream as marrying Scarlett Johansson for me tbh.
There is no reason to rethink that prediction unless Dwight Howard becomes versatile on offense or the Houston Rockets acquire another significant talent.
These bunk ass s ain't winning . Dwight Howard makes Blake Griffin look like an effective low post scorer.
