\As far as Pendergraph for Blair, the reality is that we added a few centimeters under the rim and that DeJuan didn't participate much lately.

Thanks to TMTTRIO for the heads up.

Some nice quotes about the additions and the new Spurs' physical trainer.
Excuse any typos.
Ginobili practices in his city
BAHIA BLANCA -- Manu Ginobili, shooting guard for the San Antonio Spurs, practiced with the Bahia Basket roster as part of his preparation for the 2013-2014 NBA season.
Ginobili was joined by Matthew Herring, San Antonio Spurs' brand new physical trainer, and did some defensive and offensive basketball exercises with the team run by Pepe Sanchez and whose assistant coach is Alejandro Montecchia, both former teammates of Ginobili in the Argentina national team.
"Last week I was sick, I had to travel to Buenos Aires and I couldn't practice the way I wanted. I was gaining some rhythm and I lost it, so this week I'm training hard to regain it. I'm also doing a physical workout to complement the game aspect", Manu said.
The Argentine star is in Bahia Blanca resting with his family. At the same time, he's getting ready for the charity marathon organized by his foundation, which will take place August 25th, so these are busy days with promotions and interviews.
"My head, this week, is focused on the marathon, hoping everything goes as planned and without any setbacks", added Ginobili.
The Spurs shooting guard wore the new green training jersey for Bahia Basket and did some movements with a group of players for an hour and 30 minutes, following the orders of his brother Sebastian, the coach of the team from this city. He also did some individual work as part of his preparation for the new NBA season, which will start at the end of October.
"We have a new physical trainer, who wanted to travel here to meet me. It's the first time the franchise does something like this, so we're going to be working together this week", said Manu.
Matthew Herring will be five more days in Argentina before returning to his country. "He's getting in shape for the season and I'm working with him to re-evaluate and make changes if necessary. So far everything is going great", said Herring when asked.
Besides training under the orders of his brother, Manu also did some training on the basketball club that saw him grow up, Bahiense del Norte, whose stadium has been named after Ginobili for a few years now.
Ginobili, who was an unrestricted free agent after last season, signed a two season deal with the San Antonio Spurs in early July, clearing up any doubts about his career's future. The Argentina star had to re-accommodate his spirit after his team's tough loss against the Miami Heat in the 2012-2013 Finals.
"It was extremely tough, but like everything, you move on. The moments right after that game six were tremendous, but time helped me digest it. I have other things, especially my family, something much more important than basketball itself. Of course it hurts and every time I watch it, it will be like that, but life and my career go on, so I can't stand still in time", he added.
The Argentina shooting guard will not participate in the World Championship qualifier in Caracas, which will be played from August 30th to September 11th, and he thinks he will stay a few more days in his city.
"I'll head back to San Antonio in the first week of September. I still don't know if I'll be flying the 1st or the 6th of next month, but I need to get back there to get in sync with my teammates".
Ginobili renewed his contract during the offseason, just like Tiago Splitter. Marco Belinelli and Jeff Pendergraph are the new addition to Gregg Popovich's structure, who lost Gary Neal (Milwaukee Bucks) and DeJuan Blair (Dallas Mavericks).
"Just like I though there weren't any big news. When a team is mere seconds away from winning an NBA championship that's normally what happens. The core stays the same. The addition of Belinelli for Neal gives us something we needed, a player that rotates with us on the PG, SG and SF position. It's true that with Belinelli we're losing the explosion of points we had with Neal, but he's a guy that can handle the ball more, that understands the game better and he will help us. As far as Pendergraph for Blair, the reality is that we added a few centimeters under the rim and that DeJuan didn't participate much lately. We're hoping not to suffer the guys that are gone much, and that the new pieces can adapt quickly to the team", Manu concluded.

Playblair in 3,2,1....
as always, thanks for the translation.
'added a few centimeters under the rim' poor blair, so much heart and so little reach!
Ah man, what's Manu thinking? Doesn't he realize Blair is going to want to get revenge on his old team!?!
That's sarcasm folks.
In before Manu shouldn't participate in the marathon since he might break something, tbh.
What a wimp. Roger Staubach would never have shrugged and said, "Life goes on" after a choke like that. Or Jack Lambert (lmao, can you imagine?!). Winners don't shrug off a championship loss. They throw a helmet 70 yards down the field like Bob Lilly then come back obsessed with winning. Manu is over.
I think this is why Belinelli could be an underrated pick up, while he might not explode for stretches, he can score 8-9 points each game because he won't always be looking for 3s (has more size to attack the basket). The addition of Belinelli for Neal gives us something we needed, a player that rotates with us on the PG, SG and SF position. It's true that with Belinelli we're losing the explosion of points we had with Neal, but he's a guy that can handle the ball more, that understands the game better and he will help us.
Manu is 3 out of 4 in his championship appearances. What's Staubach's record?
Thanks for the translation.
And Manu is right: Blair is a midget and Neal is a ball hog.
This comes from Pop and his pussy at ude. The whole team has been infected - and if Timmy is not infected yet - with this loser malady - he will be the only one on the team that is a warrior.
Sadly - it won't be enough when Pop happens again.
Thanks for the translation ElNono. Nice to hear about the new trainer. As I've expected, these guys are already getting ready for what is sure to be an intense season!![]()
Herring isn't new, been here since 2011
http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursna...urs-strengths/
Perhaps the new trainer Manu was referring to meeting for the first time was brought to Argentina by Herring??
Please tell me you're not so stupid as to compare Manu to Roger Staubach. Roger is like Duncan not a sixth man like Turnobili. Also, Roger retired at the TOP of his game as the all-time passing leader, one of the top players in any position to have ever played the game. I will take Staubach over Manu any time.
Manu is like Jackie Smith whose dropped pass cost Roger a ring. Two for four isn't bad but shoulda been 4 for 4.
Roger made Dallas winners. Spurs were already winners without Manu.

Duncan is 4 out of 5 in championship games and is the top PF all time. Staubach isn't even top 5 QB all time.
Cowboys were winners before Staubach came along. Lilly, Meredith et al say you are an ignorant little . As does the Doomsday defenses that were just as integral to the teams success. Spurs were on a drought following the 99 championship with the likes of Steve Smith. Manu was a big part of their success in the second era of the dynasty.
Manu had a bad couple of games in the finals. Get over it.
might not have even made it to the finals if it weren't for manu's huge breakfast shot against GSW in the 2nd round. that was more thrilling than his bad finals games were disappointing.
i ride with manu, warts and all.
Great post, couldn't agree with you more!![]()
Let us try again, stupid. When Staubach retired he was the top rated passer of all time and one of the greatest players to ever play. His last season was the best of his career statistically. Manu can't say that and never will.
Cowboys were winners before Staubach came along. Lilly, Meredith et al say you are an ignorant little .
Wow, you call me ignorant, you moronic twerp? Dallas never won a championship with Meredith. They were always a Cinderella team until Staubach came along and led them the the promised land.
And since you mentioned him again, when they lost the SB to the Colts Bob Lilly launched his helmet 70-yards downfield. He didn't shrug and go on saying, "No big deal," like Manu did.
Manu had a bad couple of games in the finals. Get over it.
Yeah, well obviously the "new" old worn out mature Manu is over it...
Roger Staubach once smashed a wall after losing a ping pong game to Danny White. Ping pong! Manu loses the biggest game of his life and just shrugs, "Oh well."

I feel Manu on this... you shouldn't stand still in time. He's not shrugging it off like...
"Oh my bad" Only he knows how deeply wounded he is from it.
But being prideful in his sorrow would serve no one.
We understand the magnitude of that moment but... should he forfeit present joy and happiness to satisfy the ire of fans?
Do you want him to, fall this his knees and proclaim "I have failed you" And then proceed to cut four slashes in his abdomen in atonement?
Everyone has different coping methods... be thankful he isn't getting wasted drunk over how horrid he played. Although it seems like some of you would rather see that then him say I'm getting over it.
As a people... how long do we need to punish ourselves for a failing?
While you wallow in misery, that bright spark you have is being neglected...
and other people suffer for it.
As kids yea you ed up.... got sent to your room... to think about what you did wrong... then come out when you can play nice.
It's up to you if you're ready in 5 minutes or it takes the rest of the day to feel like you are adequately remorseful.
But eventually you come out. You don't stay in the room.
Ain't nobody got time for that.
He would have made it 5/5 if Pop would have let him play but Pop forgot the reason he was 4/4.
Exactly.
God damn it, ing Manu. You'll have more than enough time for your family once you retire. Actually Kawhi Leonard is not infected by Pop's loser mentality. Hopefully it remains that way for Kawhi and Timmy.
Manu is more a like a Scottie Pippen, an above average player that is overrated because he won championships by playing along an all time great. The difference is that Manu has the support from most of the fans in the city of San Antonio because he's hispanic which explains why there are so many Manu s on ST.LMAO. Manu was a big reason why the Spurs were in such a deep hole in the first place. Had Manu not played so gargabe through out the year, the Spurs wouldn't have had the need to beat the Dubs in 2OT of Game 1. A couple of bad games? More like a bunch of ty games throughout the playoffs.
"You never get over it."
- Kawhi Leonard Good words but the problem is that Manu doesn't realize how horrid he played. He is still in denial as most of the Manu s or Manu worshippers.
You have to recognize he is good, this boy TheGreatYatch, unlike the dumb hater, for example, is good at trolling. He's one mother ing son of a , sure, but he's a fine troll.
