Still playing... but if they retired today

    I'd say:

    Tony Parker

    Steve Nash

    Anyone else?

    Fisher?
    Billups?
    Rondo?
    Paul?

Tony for obvious reasons, and Steve because he won MVP b2b (1 more than everyone else on his team combined). Both can get you to a championship if you have a solid center and some shooters. Steve missed it by a hair, but Tony's been there numerous times and even gathered a Finals MVP. I'd say both of these guys are in the top tier all time in their positions and they've consistently played up to those standards. Sometimes they haven't had the system or personnel to get there, but they've been pretty solid.

Lakerfan opinion doesn't count when discussing point guards.

A "lakerfan" would only need .4 seconds to discuss point guards.

A lot can be done in .4 seconds, such as destroying a team's hopes to make the NBA finals.

Most Lakerfans on this board don't have the tenure.

He also proved to be above average to good for half of his career, simply not elite.

Regular Season MVPs or Finals MVPs pretty much guarantee you a spot in the Hall. Parker, Nash, and probably Rose will make it. Jason Kidd is another, even though he barely retired, but he's a first ballot. The only other PGs in the league right now that might have a shot to make it one day if they end their careers with a good enough resume would be Rondo, Westbrook, Irving, and maybe Curry. Those are all a stretch though.

Oh I forgot about Chris Paul, who has the best chance to make it outside of the first 4 (Parker, Nash, Rose, Kidd) but he will need to finally do something in the playoffs or win an MVP because his postseason success hasn't been very HOF worthy for the supposed best PG in the NBA.

TP nash and Paul would be locks imho. Rondo would be marginal but he's still relatively young, if he moves to a contender and adds some more spectacles onto his glory book he would have a legit shot. Billups was the key performer on their 04' campaign and dude managed to make at least the conference finals almost every single year throughout the 2000s, dude definitely deserves a spot in the HOF but he's always been underrated through his career, and I don't think there'll be any difference when it comes the consideration of HOF'ers imho.
