So I did my final interview for a possible Afghan medic position, and the recruiter wanted to tell me about how ty the experience would be, specifically:

-Sand is in EVERYTHING, even in places you didn't think it could get
-living quarters consist of a twin cot and not much space of your own
-the mess hall smells like BO
-little-to-no running water
-smell of feces in the summertime from the poop ponds

Then he told me about Man-love Thursdays, and said don't be shocked if you see some weird in the showers. I asked a couple of my military friends about in (one served in Iraq, one in Afghanistan, and they confirmed what the recruiter said.

Any other ex-military that can attest to this? Is this a gay for the stay thing?
