Who was the better player in the playoffs between Manu and Kawhi?
Playoff Stats:
Kawhi: 14 ppg, 7 rpg, 2 apg, 2 spg, 1 bpg 32 mpg
Manu: 15 ppg, 3 rpg, 4 apg, 2 spg 25 mpg
Shooting %:
Kawhi: 45/41/74
Manu: 44/39/86
You just forgot that Kawhi defends their best players. Manu is a liability on defense at this point.
Who won Finals MVP? Thank you. Was this thread even necessary?
Would that have happened if this didn't:
Someone people still think Manu played better than Kawhi.![]()
Not like he had the most steals in the playoffs for us, right?![]()
We don't win the le without both of them on the team and playing well.
Galileo's ratings:
Manu = +470
Kawhi = +425
Manu was actually pretty good on that end. His DWS match Green, he tied #3 in defensive rating with Tiago, he was #2 in steals, #5 in rebounds...
Thinking steals alone are indicative of good defense
thinking you could be a defensive liability with the most steals on the team
Personally, I think it's close. Manu started with a bang, he carried us in the Dallas series, was poor against Portland, then picked it up against OKC and the Finals.
Kawhi started pretty quiet, had a solid series against Portland, had his moments against OKC, and he took over after game 3+ in the Finals...
Alongside Tim, I have them as the top 3 in these playoffs... with Boris, Danny and Tiago not that far below... this was truly a team effort.
A player who pads steals by constantly gambling in the passing lanes but can't legitimately guard anyone is a liability.... not saying Manu is that type of player, but no, getting a lot of steals does not necessarily eliminate you from liability status....
I don't disagree with this, but I don't think it applies to the Spurs. Pop will sit your ass down if you start gambling like that...
Except Manu. I do see manu gamble a lot on defense too and get burned.
Re ed, Kawhi is the team on both ends of the floor. I'm not a Manu hater but tf outta here with this garbage.
Seriously?just exit this thread
Tim Duncan is also better than Manu, what do you want?
Go kill yourself saying Kawhi is our team on both sides.
Your meltdown is delicious.
Not to the extent of being a liability... Pop has sit his ass down the rare occasions it has come to that...
