Undersized player. Good player for the east. Eaten alive in the west.

If it's Millsap and the rest of the roster or LA and the roster being broken up, I'll pick the former. If there's no price difference, then Millsap is behind the other players, even players like Lopez, in my opinion.
I'd pass
He is a 30 y/o guy about to get paid big money. I doubt he signs for anything less than 12m/year
Very undersized (6'7 in shoes) and he has always struggled against size in the playoffs. He shot 35%FG against the Cavs in the ECF and show below 50%TS overall in the playoffs.
I thought Millsap was the most realistic option because I doubted that Aldridge would want to play in San Antonio...the Spurs don't have a successful history of luring FA's big names and don't make drastic changes to the roster to add those high-profile free agents.
But after Pop's words about the retooling/free agents and Blazers' playoffs, I think they have a real chance to sign LA.
Robin? Millsap is a better offensive player than Lopez.
He probably stays in Atlanta or goes back to the Jazz since he actually liked it there.
Well, Aldridge against Splitter and Gasol, too. 45%FG last playoffs and 33%FG in the Grizz series. LA needs take more than 22 FGA per game to score 20 points, but people still want him.
Cause draymond green got killed as an undersized center?
He would have gotten killed vs spurs or clippers. They played puffcakes and injured teams. Good reasoning.![]()
Tweeners tend to fade when playoff ball rolls around...unless you're Dejuan Blair for Dallas against us.
I love Millsap, but not for big dollars.
Millsap doesn't move the needle for his price tag
Streches the defense with his shooting, but the Spurs need someone to defend athletic PFs. I like Millsap, but he's not that guy.
Which athletic pfs concern you besides Blake?
None, but seeing as how he's not going anywhere I think it's a legitimate concern.
Spurs played terribly to lose to the Clippers. I wouldn't make moves in preparation for the Clippers.
^^ This.
You keep being arrogant and superficial if you don't want Paul Millsap who is realistic option, Don't repeat the mistake of last year not wanting Paul Pierce...
Its would be nice to have a guy who can defend Blake or AD but its not essential. Blake isn't unstoppable. Had Splitter been healthy he could have done a better job.
In terms of the savings over L.A and a more complete roster around him, I think he does. Our front line would be Leonard, Milsap, Duncan, Diaw and Splitter. That would be one of the best front courts in the league.
Millsap doesnt make this a championship team. Spend a few more dollars and secure Aldridge.
The problem with signing Millsap is that if he is actually worth money he should play 35+minutes in the playoffs and Diaw becomes way under utilized for our team. And that get's worse if the best lineup is Tim and Tiago. Unless the team is prepared to play Diaw at sf then we won't be maximizing the talent. Maybe it wouldn't work out but I'd consider going after Luol Deng allowing him to be the backup pf and starting Diaw.
Paying Millsap big money this summer makes no sense, if we strike out on the big FA's the FO is looking at like Gasol and LMA, then use the exceptions and sign as many of team back as possible and swing for the fences next summer when the salary cap goes thru the roof.
