I'm not on the "he's our franchise QB for sure" wagon, but I can't help but admire him.
Post-game:
"Did the offensive line apologize to you?"
"Apologize for what!? I made the bad reads. I didn't change the protections. Offensive line did a phenomenal job. It's all on me."
A kid that knows this season is his audition for what his career will be, to make statements like that is really big of him, especially when anybody who watched the game knew the offensive line was abysmal (understatement).
Full interview can be seen here
jump to 1:50 for where my eyebrows were raised. they kept asking questions giving him opportunities to share some blame with teammates. asked him a few questions in a row that were sort of tempting him to say something bad about the line, and he kept brushing it off and keeping all the blame for himself. that's a ing leader. first year starters always have their games. luck had some bad games last year. on the road against KC with a beat up line is tough environment, but i'm glad this kid has a great at ude. i'm a big fan of his, hopefully he can continue to progress though, and not just be a guy that makes exciting plays 3-4 times a game
