You'll kick yourself on your way home if you don't visit Greenwich town in NY, that's the neighborhood where my goddess spent most of her childhood, imho.
I would say go to my old stompin' grounds in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, but the hipsters and blipsters now represent 100% of the population![]()

To answer your question, Margherita Pizza in Jamaica. Every thing in Jamaica, Queens is a must see tbh.
Don't spend more than 15 minutes at times sq. eat street meat on the corners or papaya dogs to save money, buy an all day subway pass, people are friendly and willing to help if you get confused, stay in the lower east side or east village for live music, visit Brooklyn, read the paper subways schedules for temporary closures or reroutes at night/weekend, it's been cold the last few days so bring a coat
Go to Ground Zero and try to figure out why it was an inside job.![]()
If you don't have the time to make a full Ellis island/Statue of Liberty trip, the absolute best views of it and the Manhattan skyline are from the free Staten Island ferry. The New York City Fire Museum is not huge, so it's easy to get through and has an amazing 9/11 exhibit. If you like to pick up all those little souvenir knick knacks (I LOVE that stuff) from every site you visit, you can save some money by just going into a Walgreens or any little discount store on the street and pick up all the exact same stuff for quite a bit less.
Co worker travels to NYC every other month where he grew up & he is enamored with Mario Batali’s Eataly…NYC is like Chicago, it is nearly impossible to find a bad pizza or Italian meal…But NYC also has the best Jewish Deli’s in the U.S.

Just came back from there this past Monday. Ate at an Italian place called Pepolino in the Tribeca area. I was looking for a typical NY neighborhood place and went here by total chance. I wasn't disappointed at all and it turns out this place has a good Zagat rating. There's an Italian deli called DiPalo's in the Little Italy/Chinatown area. I recommend both. Bought some pomodoro sauce, pecorino cheese and a jar of grilled olives at the deli.
Visited the 911 Memorial and The High Line (park). Plenty of women taking pictures holding the Wall Street bull statue's nut sack.Didn't see one male do it!
Umberto's Clam House in Little Italy. Great grub...go there before Chinatown swallows up the rest of LI
