I used to hate this guy but he exemplifies the meaning of a Spurs player.

    http://www.bullsnation.net/joakim-no...ing-off-bench/

Joakim Noah is a team player, something that has been evidenced by his entire career, but for the first time since his rookie season, he is being asked to accept a “lesser role”. It was difficult to gauge what to expect in terms of a response from Noah but his team first at ude once again showed why he’s so perfect for Chicago.

Noah on Hoiberg selling him plan to come off bench: "He didn't have to sell me anything. I want to win."

Noah's coming off the bench because his game has fallen off hugely since 2013. We already have a player like that on our team tbh.

Hes ing garbage. He's happy to be benched so maybe him bricking shots at the rim wont be as noticed. His saving grace was his defense and he's not even good at that anymore. Literally the definition of a player whose game fell off a cliff

Noah is trash. Most overrated player recently. Got his pushed in during his DPOY season by Nene in the playoffs. Gets praised for his passing even though the Bulls were the worst offensive team in the NBA while he was leading the team in assists. Also can't score 2 feet from the rim. Would much rather have Splitter then him since he cost half as much, is less injury prone, better offensive player, and he actually shuts down top tier PF/C instead of getting anal prolapsed by bottom-mid tier ones.

Yeah, I've never seen a guy get embarrassed as badly as Noah did during that series. That's probably what killed his career.

Why would the Spurs want a former All-Star with French roots that is currently a below average player? Doesn't really seem like it would fit with this current team..

Noah wants to do whatever it takes to help his team and Kawhi wants more shots and not pass. the ball.

He's a hard worker and has length.... but has zero skills.

He doesn't even move like a basketball player... in fact.. I think he moves like a tennis player. ;-)

Noah was pretty awful last year… and I don't just mean by his standards. I mean by an NBA starting big man's standards. He was missing layups left and right and couldn't make a jumpshot to save his life.

It got so bad, Bulls fans were begging for him to be benched in last year's playoffs against Cleveland. He's on the wrong side of 30 and is a major liability on offense. I don't see how he'd be a good fit here tbh.

I'll contribute $5 to this project. It's worth whatever diaw got....yeah I know diaw is special and was obviously mentally half assing but he also was fat and slimmed down. Obv Noah's not better than David west though, and we still have diaw. And I guess rasuall butler is also a tsob project. Bonner too....jeez this team is old

He has the right at ude, but also a so limeted game.
We need to have a rebounder bigman in our second unit but the Spurs don't need Noah, just play a bit more Duncan/LMA with Diaw or West.

All that said, if Tim retires, Noah may be the best the Spurs can afford. That's even more true if Tim and Manu opt in before retiring. I think the key to getting a more effective Noah is to play him less, and with LMA getting some minutes at the five and Boban and potentially Milunitov being on the roster, I think it's possible to keep him under 30 mpg.

That said, I too would rather try to trade back for Splitter than pay Joakim.

Spurs signed David West didn't they?. You do know the difference between overpaid and below average, don't you? What stat are you using to determine that he's below average?
