Just saw this on another forum, this is ing genius
There's a simple bug on the League Pass site, which does not restrict any non-subscribers from watching the direct links to already played games. As it blew up on reddit yesterday, I thought I'd share it with the best b-ball community, too. Been using it for quite a while and it works perfectly; however, it doesn't work for live games, but for Internationals like myself who only watch the games the morning after or whatever because they don't like to stay up all night, it's perfect.
So here's what you gotta do.
Here's an example link for the Knicks-Bulls game:http://nlds120.cdnl3nl.neulion.com/n...ole_1_3000.mp4
If you paste that link into the open stream function of your standard VLC or quicktime player, you are able to watch the game. Or if you're on mobile just click THIS LINK and try it out.
So, the link structures consist of the following
nlds120.cdnl3nl.neulion.com/nlds_vod/nba/vod/A/B/C/D/2_D_E_F_2013_h_whole_1_G.mp4.m3u8
A Year played
B Month
C Date played (If it's a day such as the 5th, enter 05)
D NBA League Pass ID (you can find that by hovering over the game you want to watch onhttp://watch.nba.com , it will look like this one 21300018)
E Away team initials (you can find that on the NBA website)
F Home team initials (you can find that on the NBA website)
G Bitrate (These range from 400, 800, 1600, 3000, 4500 - from lowest quality to highest)
Hope some of you guys can watch some of your favourite teams because of this simple bug, which is basically a product of them being to lazy to fix it (believe me, it would be veryyy easy to fix and it has been like that for years).
Seems pretty legit, but if it's blowing up on Reddit (and, subsequently, sites like this), something tells me the NBA is going to patch that up real fast.
cant even patch up the rules it introduced every new season
how it going to stop this bug
It's been known for a couple of years already. I've known about it when I stumbled upon it on reddit last year. It just becomes more widespread when the season starts. The NBA still hasn't done anything. I even have a link where a guy posts these but the links to various games don't seem to work anymore, so I'm guessing the NBA changed the way they archive games.
(I take that back, only one game in the archive works now and it's the stream marked "high" on game 7 of the SAS/Miami Finals. ers)

this has been going on for about 6-12 months. League Pass prevents you from watching live games but it archives the games that have been played and they're accessible via a simple link.
they will change the links and the codes, but anyone with LP can leak this to others.
I don't know about that side, just use http://bt.davka.info/, they upload all games 12-24 hrs after they're played in HD and you can download them quick via torrent.
If i'm not watching live i'll just watch the highlights tbh. I'm not watching a full game when i already know the final score.
True, but it's for those who like to DVR games and watch them later, only that you don't have to DVR and you can get the link before the game even starts and watch it later without knowing the score, tbh.
Thanks man, definitely useful for internationals.![]()
seems cool, but i probably won't use it much. i mainly watch live via streams
Same, but it's cool for those who can't see every game and want to view them fully or per 4th quarter or whatever, don't need to spend time downloading a 2gb file, tbh.
does not work anymore![]()
Lol if it's blowing up in reddit, I can bet a million bucks they'll have it fixed it in no time.
Yep, not working since 3-4 days...
All that should have changed is the "nlds120" number it used to be nlds80
No longer works. I knew NBA wasn't going to let this sit wide open for long.
Anybody know what the new URL looks like?
