What do you guys think of this hipster bull . It's all encompassing and pervasive here in Cali even though I'm pretty sure Lumberjacking is not a very common trade here. Probably over 50 percent of the male 20/30s population has one. Has this phenomenon reached the outer limits of San Antonio and other cities of note across the nation? Also, how does one go to a job interview with this mess on his face? Discuss.

It's crazy here. The chicks actually think it's a good look in Cali - how backwards is that.
This isn't new, it has been like 3 years now, tbh..
I visited Austin for the 1st time 2 weeks ago, and I must say, it's the most hipster city I've seen so far, despite the fact that I'm in NY at least once every Summer..
The only people i seen with that are white male liberals. Of course beards aren't limited to one race so i have seen mexicans and blacks etc. with beards. The difference is the white guys with these beards always seem to be annoying ass hipster s.
You're right, it's been awhile but it has reached the tipping point to the where it can't be ignored as mainstream conformity in CA. The Hipsters were originally trying to be different but now, if you're not a self-professed hipster with a lumberjack look, then you are an interloper, to be ostracized and banished to another state.
one of my oldest friends in Austin has grown it like that. I saw some guy in a co-op in Austin with Civil War mutton chops. smh.
i'll admit, i do want to grow a beard like that, my granddad had a ZZ Top beard at one point and I have the same hair gene, for better or worse. But now that it's a fad, I'll just wait it out.
Austin is at the top of being a hipster city, tbh... anybody should know that tbh
in the middle of one of the most red states in the nation.
The weird thing is, many of these lumberjack looking dudes are employed - else the unemployment rate would rise above 40 % here in CA. My question is, if not lumberjacks, then how do they actually hold down jobs? Construction might be an option...
back in the day, i'd refer to Austin as sleepy, stoner or hippie. But somehow it turned into hipster. Maybe it was hipster all along but I didn't think so, it was more low key. sigh, I miss that Austin. maybe it was s from Cali moving there or just inevitability.
That's the irony, tbh. You could cut it with a cocoon's sharp edge.
They are part of unions, perhaps, and employers are afraid to fire a union worker.
Then there's this guy. Can a black guy be hipster or no?

Does your friend also wear plaid shirts and thick framed glasses?
Tbh you can always rock the beard though, just don't go full hipster imo...
I remember going to Austin in 09 and smoking for the entire month of June... now it's just a bunch of gots, tbh...no offense
being that austin is that weirdo liberal city in a hardcore red state, is there a city in california that is known to be hardcore republican?
Blacks actually get bonus hipster points tbh
More like a swag if anything
Blipsters are a different form of hipsters, tbh, there are subtle differences..I see you, redzero, my guy..
I had heard that, but I thought it was overblown, tbh, and that Austin would stand out as more hipster just in comparison to the rest of Texas..I wasn't expecting it to be at this level..
There are a few. There's Fresno, Bakersfield and Stockton which are all extremely red (almost can't tell the difference bt them and a Southern State), then there's Sacramento which is surprisingly "reddish" for the CA state capital. All the biggest cities though, SF, LA, Oakland and San Diego are total flaming liberal / hipster central. It's a weird state overall with a serious amount of variation and worldviews.
Ain't this a fad now because of that stupid ass wrestler Daniel Bryan? Hipsters love that geek. He's been rocking that ugly ass beard for awhile now and they even try to market it to hipsters.
