Gangs in SA

Do they still exist? I am talking about the punk kid gangs. I know that when I was young it seemed like they were everywhere.
When I was here in SA it was all Kings, Ambrose, LA Boys (Los Azteca not Los Angeles), GTA, Two Six, etc., etc.

Then when I moved to Austin it was all the Bloods and Crips because they saw it on TV or in a movie and thought they could take the name of Rolling 60 and Piru too.

LMAO at this dip kid at the old apartments I was at..I made a comment about his "rag", and apparently they're not rags anymore because "rags are to clean tables with". They're now "flags".

Back in my middle school days I remember "Bad Boy" clothing and the Miami Hurricanes being associated with gangs..

My middle school was horrible. Guns and drugs were sold outside. People got stabbed. They took that to heart. The school was right across the street from the projects too.

I've asked my nephew about gangs and he says he doesn't really see a lot of gangs. Maybe it's just his school or maybe gangs have really gone out of style these days? I dunno.
