Who are the 5 most overrated players of the past 5 years, based on expected potential, tbh?..

I always find it funny when I read NBA forums and observe so many fans begging to acquire these types of players that typically fail, tbh..

1- Anthony "Magic" Randolph..the hype has died down a little, but from 2008 to 2011, every fan forum had a thread begging for their team to acquire Anthony Randolph, tbh..

    2- Tyreke Evans
    3- Danilo Gallinari
    4- Kenneth Faried
    5- Jeff Green
    6- Rodrigue Beaubois
    7- Courtney Lee
    8- Avery Bradley
    9- Iman Shumpert
    10- Greivis Vasquez

IMO..I probably forgot a bunch, tbh, any names to drop?..

Future players that fit this category IMO: Jimmy Butler, Evan Fournier, Greg Monroe, Harrison Barnes, Giannis Antekouposjsjsbsh, Reggie Jackson, Jeremy Lamb, Tobias Harris, Morris twins, Derrick Williams, Enes Kanter..

French Allah should be closer to the top imo. In fact switch him with Gallinari.

Speaking of the fetish for Anthony Randolph, some no-name picklebreath isn't equal to "everyone" imho.

And I don't think Gallinari has been overrated to even the slightest extent, dude has fairly lived up to his potential and it's just injury that holds him back imho. No one expected him to be a superstar anyways. And the arbitrary hype around Roddy was pretty much just a joke cooked up by some mavs fans. Guy has potential but to call him French Allah is worth a ton of

And how could you manage to miss out JJ Hickson, tbh? Dude was at one time tipped for HOF consideration tbh, "future hall of famer"

Anthony Randolph was extremely hyped on every forum, Rogue..

There were fans all over the Internet saying like "he's a cross between Lamar Odom and Magic Johnson"..

Iguoadala should be on that list. Every year, and even now to a lesser extent, is supposedly his break out year...I swear I've seen way too many poster claim he can be a legit #1 option a few years ago.

Kevin "Empty Stats" Love should be high on that list, tbh.... Roddy Beaubois should be higher, too, since Cuban actually said he wouldn't trade him for anything less than LeBron

    Nice thread.

    For me:

    1) Dwight Howard (3 point shooters carried him to the Finals and he got all the credit. Poor offensive player. Overrated defensively. Complete knucklehead.)

    2) James Harden (Bad shooter, selfish/isolation player, no defense, not a true PG)

    3) Rajon Rondo (TERRIBLE shooter, arrogant, and a BAD teammate. There's a reason the Celtics can't trade this guy)

    3) Kobe Bryant (Has regressed considerably, yet he's STILL a ballhog and mean to his teammates?)

    4) Steve Nash (For the love of God just retire already. I swear he's lying on his back on the court 90% of the time he even dresses.)

    5) Pau Gasol (He only shoots jump shots now. He doesn't seem to care about trying. Even Mike Dantoni called him out earlier this year.)

    6) Chris Paul (Considered the best PG in the NBA...yet he has accomplished NOTHING. How many more times does Tony Parker or some other PG have to destroy him in the playoffs before the media admits this guy is overrated?)

    7) Carmelo Anthony (Obvious pick, but he's such a ballhog that it's hard not to include him on this list. Oh, and he doesn't play any defense.)

    8) Dirk Nowitzski (Those jump shots finally fell for him in the playoffs 3 years ago, but for the most part, he has seriously regressed. He's very close to being done.)

    9) Zach Randolph (Undersized, and takes too many jump shots, he's definitely not a star, yet everyone thinks of him as one.)

    10) Mike Conley (I like Mike Conley. But he's nowhere close to being in the elite PG discussion, yet every time I hear his name it comes up that he is. Which is utterly ridiculous.)

Harden is not a PG nor ever was considered one. I saw that glaring flaw in this as soon as I read it.

    In no particular order:
    1. Deng - A good role player but only made the all-star team b/c of the weak east

    2. Tyson Chandler - Much like Perkins, gets by on past reputation alone. The Tyson Chandler of today is most to blame for the Knicks getting stomped in last year's playoffs.

    3. Iman Shumpert - One of a couple of Knicks that is overrated on defense and mediocre on O. Sure, his stroke is better than Brewer and Tony Allen, but that's not saying much.

    4. Ricky Rubio - Makes Rondo's stroke look pretty. Overrated IQ too.

    5. Kevin Love - Great offensive player but not a leader and plays no defense. Same thing about IQ

    6. Z-Bo - Love the guy but gets by on nostalgia alone. Glad he was able to turn it around but outside of that playoff run which included the Spurs, he hasn't been that good in a while. His at ude's way better but his play has gone down big time.

    7. Lamarcus Aldridge - Yes, still. Sure, he's having a good year in his natural position but he's like C-Webb without the passing and vision gifts not to mention half the swagger. I got love for C-Webb, but both will come up short when it matters.

    My list:

    1. Kirby - his delusional slurpers think he's the 2nd best player of all time minimum, need I say more?
    2. Harden - would be nothing without the foodstamps given to him by the refs, absolutely atrocious on defense
    3. Carmelo - basically Kirby lite
    4. Dwight - no offensive game to speak of, terrible teammate
    5. Love - soft, blatantly pads his stats, not a good defender, locker room cancer, has never been to the playoffs
    6. Enrique - upstairs Spurfan acts like he's the greatest PG ever when he's had to be bailed out by the likes of Speedy Claxton; frustrating heroball tendencies
    7. Rubio - can't shoot a lick, extremely one-dimensional
    8. Rondo - intentionally sabotages his team's offense, passing up wide open shots in order to blatantly pad his assists
    9. Kyrie - selfish chucker, has never been to the playoffs, bad teammate
    10. Curry - unfair shooter when he's on, but turnover-prone, and his decision-making still leaves much to be desired

I gotta admit, I hated ZBo as a Clipper and loathed him during the height of our rivalry with Memphis, but I'm kind of sad to see him start to fall off, tbh....

Fans and pundits alike label him as one of the most heady and clutch point guards in the game today.

Heady and clutch point guards do not defer to Jannero ing Pargo in a Game 7 of a playoff series.

Doesn't change the fact that he's bringing the ball up the floor almost every possession. And it's hard to watch. You know he's going to jack up a 3 after a few pump fakes or he's going to drive and beg for a foul call. He doesn't facilitate at all.

He is 22 years old and not gettin media hype like some out there! He is not touted as the next star in the league. I still remember Mavs fans with Roddy! They had him as the second coming! That doesn't make him though overrated as a standpoint from other fans and media etc. Kawhi is overhyped by some fans yes, but in everyday talk outside of here and non bias fans he is not overhyped.

nobody throught paul george was going to be the next big thing, until he broke out....same thing can happen to kawhi if their wasnt 3tosb and a wanker of a coach in his way

kawhi end of this season will have the last laugh, cause he who laughs last....laughs the loudest, he be gone...hopefully the sperms dont match the rfa...fck them for wasting him like how they waste duncans last 7seasons....

kawhi too good to be held back and playing behind 3tosb, and the fkn chuckers on the team....
