Love this. I've got to believe that Fishers plan all along was to bide his time with DC Tim Walton last year and bring GW back(after served suspension) once the Tennessee ans staff was blown up.

He had one good year in 2009. After that he sucked ass, especially in the playoffs.

Wish we could've brought him back tbh. I will trade our garbage bottom 5 defense who gets some takeaways for his above average defense even tho he couldn't create turnovers.

He's also a horrible fit for this team , one of the best front fours in the NFL at generating pressure w/o blitzes w/ a mediocre secondary doesn't need a DC who regularly sends the kitchen sink at the QB.

Not to mention Russell Chatterjee struggles when there are more then five players actually in coverage. Bringing the house will bail him out when he throws one of his cheap bubble screens

Same with Kaepernick, and the Cardinals' offensive line is so ty blitzing does nothing other than give Palmer a target to throw to quickly.

I'll give him credit for the Super Bowl against Peyton. He rarely blitz and mostly rushed 3 guys while dropping 8 in coverage knowing Peyton's ego would eventually come through. But yeah, his heavy blitzing definitely cost the Saints the following two seasons at Seattle and then the meltdown at San Francisco.

I think Fisher will have some input on that defense unlike Payton who let him do whatever he want including the Bounty system.

its not like the rams were playing bad defense. fisher needs to get that offense moving in one way or another. zach stacy did well for a while, but that offense as a whole lacks any real punch
