Welcome to our inaugural Official SpursTalk Money League. I realize there were money leagues in the past that were run by the the site's administrators, but this is the first money league run by us, the posters who have slowly built the NFL Forum into what it has become over the past six football seasons. Which is, in my opinion, the last frontier of SpursTalk. Starting with the 2008 Season, we began playing free fantasy games against each other for bragging rights or whatever else you want to call it. Fantasy discussions have always been a part of what has gone on inside these walls, and it was only natural that the free leagues would eventually manifest. In the past five years, SpursTalk has opened itself to lots of side-betting which made myself and others push for a money league this season. After much careful deliberation and coordination, we have set up a league, established our rules, settings, entry fees, prize amounts and are ready to go.
This is a 12-team, Head-to-Head league with a $25 dollar buy in. The players are as follows:

After 14 weeks of head-to-head action, four teams will advance to the postseason for a two-week playoff. The prizes will break down as follows:
Super Bowl Champion (1st Place): $175 & a(sponsored by Kori)
Super Bowl Runner-up (2nd Place): $75
Loser Bowl Champion (3rd Place): $50
Our draft will be on Thursday evening at 10:30PM EST. In the meantime, players are encouraged to post in this thread declaring their team name. Following the draft, you can post your roster for posters not in the league to see if you like. You can use this thread to trash talk your opponent for the current week, notify other players of trades, laugh at someone for getting blown out or just discuss the fantasy season in general. Of course, if you are not in our league and want to comment on anything please feel free to do so.
Thanks everyone for their input, their patience and their cooperation in getting everything set up. It took a while but that's almost exclusively because I want to be a good commissioner and give everyone a chance to make their voice heard. Should be a good season. Let the games begin.

I will edit the OP to add your team name next to your username as they come in. Was able to figure out some of the teams so went ahead and matched the names to the players. Also one of you guys without a team name should do Breaston Plants.

Not the same 12. Sometimes we did leagues with less players. Last year we did 14 which was pure and the reason we capped at a max of 12 for this league. Eight players in this league have played in a ST free league before, so there is that element of familiarity.
14 sounds miserable; my 12 man league is slim picking as it is. By the halfway mark of the season, there is nobody worth a damn on the waiver. I guess that's half the fun though.
I was very vocal against the 14 man league last year. We let two people in at the eleventh hour to go from 12 to 14. I wasn't the commissioner last year though. That's about the only thing I put my foot down on.
Last year's commisioner had a tumultuous term, but the history books will remember the increased scoring, participation, and dignity he brought to the league.
Off topic, but I got an interview tomorrow for a Telecom company who has ESPN as a client. Fucccccck yes, I'ma be all like put Ditka on the phone .
Last year's commisioner sucked balls. Whoever the was that idiot. Glad that mistake isn't repeated.
Let us not forget how I arose from the ashes the conquer said league. A run so historic JT is stealing my name to try and capitalize on my fortune. You assholes are lucky i couldn't afford $50
