Tbh imho. Rejuvinated and cancer-free, this Laker team will play better team ball. Kaman, Nash, Kobe and Gasol will be on the same page. You didn't see Nash and Kobe going at it much last year. This is because they are both professionals who understand the serious business of winning. The negativity all revolved around Shrek's re ed cousin, D12 tbh. The entire team was unwittingly sucked into his black hole of negativity and immaturity. No matter how talented, Dwight did not want to be here. Kobe didn't run Dwight off, he just wanted to win and Dwight didn't have what it took. Kobe and Dwight are polar opposites. One, a fiery taskmaster, another an overgrown Court-jester who wanted to have his cake and eat it too. Without the cancer, the Lakers will be back in the playoffs. They may not make it far, but with a core of reliable veterans and some infusion of young talent in Nick Young and Farmar and the return of the underrated Jordan Hill, the Lakers could make some noise. As interesting as he was, World Peace was also becoming a liability so his departure will actually help as well. We'll see a better Laker team this year - one that will likely make the playoffs and win a couple of games if not a series.

They gon b the most dangerous 6th seed evah. Rox and Clips better hope they don't end up with that 3rd seed. Young, Kobe and Wes will be fun to watch, no mo missed layups in fastbreaks :

I'd prefer to see the Lakers making it over the likes of Minny, Blazers and Nuggets but I think the compe ion for the #8 seed will be tough and intense imho. 's gonna be full of uncertainties so to predict the #8 seed winner at this time seems a bit too early, tbh

It will be interesting to see when they lose, who the blame will go to. Im sure Gasol tbh. Def wont be Kirby.

Just like how media won't blame Duncan for 6 and 7.

    1. D'Antoni
    2. Gasol
    3. Nash

Kaman and Young will likely underperform and become scapegoats as well.

Without Duncan Spurs don't even sniff the Finals. And Duncan had 30 and 17 in Game 6 at age 37... so idk wtf you're talking about.

Of course it will be Gasol, he's reclaiming the post that Howard left and that post was being the whipping boy of every ol' sport in the LA region

He had 5 points in the 2nd half+OT. Timmy choked and there ain't a thing you can do to counter that. If he scored 7, I wouldn't ing exist.

There's this thing called team and another thing called fatigue. a 37 yr old in his final years playing 40+ minutes will not be as fresh at the end of games as he is in the beginnings, Timmy was tired but the team was winning with him on the floor, when he got benched at the start and end of 4th Heat went on scoring runs, stats show it, games show it. Tim Duncan was the reason Spurs went to the Finals and were up 3 - 2 against the Heat. Without him we're talking about Heat sweeping the Grizzlies/Warriors.

okay says the guy who's never played a day of compe ive basketball in his life. I can tell simply based on your comments. Spurs aren't even there without Duncan. Not even close. Stupid argument.

Timmy was arguably the best big man in the league this year and put up 18 and 12 in the Finals on pretty good efficiency, he was hardly the reason Spurs lost.

Media lettin' him skate for the missed layups don't count for in here, Heel.

Uh, uh, daddy. Here Duncan is the reason the Spurs lost Game 7.

And that's the just the way it's gonna be.

No. Uh, uh, none of that .

The Spurs were indeed "there"...and then Duncan missed those layups. And they were no longer "there." He's a big boy. You're a big boy. You both can take it. You won't like it, but, by God you are taking it.
