He's a little overrated IMO, but no risk, at all here, they gave up nothing..low risk/high reward..

Rockets will give up almost no one in playoff rotation -- Papanikolaou, Prigioni, Dorsey, Johnson -- along with 1st (protected) for Lawson.

Can't believe they got him for scraps worse than the Lakers scraps![]()

The problem is Harden and Dwight...Harden is literally incapable of playing off the ball...and Dwight wont play defense unless he has the ball...Ty is good but unfortunately those two mental midgets will it up...If Harden knew how to play off the ball like Clay Thompson the Rox could make some noise...
Nice Fleece job breh
Prigioni was a major piece last year in the playoffs, but still this is great for Houston.
Should take off a lot of pressure from Harden.
if Lawson can play at a level he played two years ago...Houston is going to be tough to beat.
This was a homerun for Morey. He gets a very high caliber offensive player who is an extraordinary set up man. I mean they already had a WCF team with that ing washed up argentuzos scrub starting in the playoffs. Rox have deep bench now too.
Couldn't even get Harrell from Houston. Sad, but kinda obvious given Lawson's recent issues.
ty is about to trade in the liquor for styrofoam cups of lean![]()
Should have Lawson as 6th man, would be huge for their bench unit and would maximize his impact..
indeed. and its not uncommon to have more defensive oriented starter and an offensive-minded backup... especially because harden already runs the O
I wondered about this. If Beverley re-signed knowing he would start.
Ya, I don't expect McHale to make the intelligent move, though..
Very nice trade for the Rockets.
All those strip clubs...Ty ain't gotta chance.
Doesn't make much sense to start Lawson IMO..even if they do, I bet they change it after a few weeks..
A lineup with Lawson-Harden-Jones puts too much defensive pressure on Ariza and Howard(and Dwight has been vocal in the past about a reduced offensive role in favor of carrying a defense, probably even worse at his current age), and it minimizes Lawson's impact, since he's a poor off-ball player..
Starting Beverley gives them 3 defenders with 3 role players that can make spot-up jump shots, and allows Lawson to create the entire offense for a bench unit that doesn't have any creators outside of occasional D-Mo post-ups..Houston's offense when Harden left the floor was one of their primary flaws, last year, IIRC..
The Rox needed a PG bad...and they found a very good one. They need to take the ball out of Hardens hands...Ty can't defend for but he's a very good and capable offensive player...he avg.15 and 9 dimes last season..the issue is Harden and Dwight low IQs...them two s aren't too bright and unfortunately it will continue to haunt the Rox...tbh
I agree. Only thing is D-Mo likely starts.
youre forgetting that per the stats gardens defense was vastly improved and actually pretty damn good this year
Saw this coming a mile away and with Lawson's DUI I figured Houston would get him for cheap. As Harlem said, low risk/high reward for Houston; this puts them ahead of the Grizz/Hawks but still behind SA/GS/CLE/LAC.
He will do ok up till Allstar break...

Just to be clear, the Rockets pick to Denver is lottery protected in 2016. The Denver second rounder to the Rockets in '17 not protected.
Stick to "Tammy" and olympics topics. Your basketball takes suck
