No rush to get him back. He should've given his All-star spot to Dragic, tbh, and taken the weekend off.

Scary scary stuff. I said he looked worse than D Wade in the AS game. I can't believe he even attempted to play with how bad he looked. If this week off wasn't enough to get him remotely healthy that is very alarming.

I think it is the right thing to do.

    No brainer, in fact.

It's not tiredness to me - he looks injured. He's moving very slow. I got burned with freaking out over TPs health before, but this has me alarmed.

Get well soon or Spurs are toast. Especially since Gino can't play the minutes to make up for it.

getting him time off after finals (hamstring) then going right to the FNT, then virtually right back to the Spurs is a great thing. he'll be fresh and be able to get his rhythm back. Figure maybe he's out 2-4 weeks? I guess only Pop knows but it makes a lot of sense. But I don't know if he's ever had any time to let his lingering injuries heal.

If Ginobili is back, I think we are in fine shape without him for a few games. I figure another week to ten days.

If Ginobili is not back or not back enough to help, we will lose the next few games, but that is alright. As so many others have said…get it over with and get everybody back and healthy.

Hope it doesn't make the Spurs hesitant to pull the trigger on any potential deals. But glad because he looks like needs the time off tbh.

Think he needs at least 3 weeks, one month would be perfect.

Glad Pop decided to go for it. The Mavs did it with Dirk, it's a no brainer, we're not trying to win a regular season championship...

He's hurt, like Pop said. Time heals that as well as fatigue. More experience for the backups is a good thing, especially with the others back soon. As long as Parker is better around mid-March the team will be fine.

It probably will, unfortunately, as they need at least three PGs at all times. I'd rather them sign a D-league guard instead of not pulling the trigger for a good player to keep De Colo.

He's banged up. Been playing non stop for awhile now. Sure he has some bangs and bruises but it isn't one major injury or anything like that. His body is tired and he needs rest. If he keeps playing at this rate he will end up just getting a major injury and that would ultimately end the Spurs season. By doing this, it avoids that and lets Parker rest up before he seriously gets hurt.

This is the right choice. He can use a couple weeks off. But what a in asshole. Still plays in the ASG? What a prick. It's easier and easier to see who Parker is looker out for, and it's not the Spurs.

Anyone else annoyed he played in the all-star game? I understand it's an honor, but he'd still have "All-Star" on his resume and more time to heal. Plus, Timmy might've gotten his replacement spot.

    This.

On the other hand, my fantasy team. But otherwise a good decision, he's been banged up for too long.

It is what Parker said about his health yesterday during his radio show:
"I'm fine. I've still have all my little inflammations, it won't go away like that. I've still slight tendinitis at the groin and at the achille's tendon. But, I'm' fine. It's true that the rest helped me. It was a good idea that Pop give me this week of rest and I hope to be in good shape against Clippers to have a good game."

While he isn't at 100%, Parker doesn't sound that tired or injured. I guess Pop saw the opportunity to rest him for the last 3 games of the RRT which will give Parker 16 days without having to play a game (ASG doesn't count).

Might as well not rush Manu back tonight and sit him out along with Tim and let the other guys get more experience.

Nope, he won't. If you're injured for the all star and don't play it, it doesn't count.

glad for that move, there is a need for clarity at the backup pg spot for the PO and for the future, it's hard to make decisions when you don't give players a fair enough share of minutes before judging them.
