Pop didn't give 2 s about last nights game, he's probably just happy that the win streak is over. Pop would of played Manu if he really wanted to win last night.
Nothing I hate more than when the team, especially Pop, gets too much media attention. Pop is an amazing coach, but his biggest weakness IMO is that sometimes the media attention goes straight to his head and he gets too arrogant. Sometimes he reaches a level where he thinks he controls the game way more than the players and it screws the team over. Last year it cost us a championship when he kept Duncan on the bench in game 6, and last night it kept us from beating the Thunder and extending the winning streak to 20.
I know the refs sucked, the Spurs shot horrible, and some of the bench players disappeared because of the intense compe ion and not having Ginobili. but to me, what really lost the game last night, was Pop changing the lineups when the 3rd quarter started. Thinking it would be smart to save Leonard was just dumb. Nobody on the team but Leonard has a prayer's chance on Durant. Durant does whatever he wants, unless Leonard is on him. I know, the refs love their precious little baby and do what they can to help him, so there is that chance they immediately call stupid fouls on Leonard just to help baby boy Durant. It's obvious the refs look at Durant like catholic priests look at 7 year old boys, but still, to mess with the normal lineup that got this team to that winning streak to me was just dumb and should not have happened.
Additionally, it put Tiago in a position where he isn't comfortable. He did OK in the beginning of the 1st quarter, and you could visibly see how uncomfortable Tiago was playing with the 2nd unit, and the other players obviously are more used to playing with Diaw. I do understand it didn't help that Baynes is out, but I just believe that sometimes the media attention gets to Pop's head and he experiments too much and changes things that shouldn't be changed, and he screws the team over. Thoughts?

pop's not stupid, he knew if leonard started in the third the refs would've called a quick one on him. the story was quite clear from the get go, "the amazing thunder defeat the unstoppable spurs." the refs were just making sure that came to pass. i mean seriously, what ref is going to call the third foul on a super important player in the first half on a screen that looked like nothing? i ask you, would they call that on lebron or durant? not a chance in .
only reason pop didn't sit duncan for the game is because three of our bigs are injured. and if duncan sat, so would've parker.
the league setting up like this is what makes me think the NBA is a ing joke like the WWE.
Damn I wish he didn't want to win Game 6 tbh.
just trying to get some season tickets sold for next year before the next batch comes up from albq and everyone blows their cash on that instead
