We all knew someone playing 22mpg and averaging 12ppg wasn't going to win 6MOY, no matter how he efficient he was. His stats don't jump out and for this award that's really all that matters imo, not a surprise.
I guess nowadays starting half the season, shooting barely above 40% and playing no D wins a 6th man award..

You're right. Besides, the true 6th man winner will be shown when Manu makes Crawford looks silly on D later in the playoffs.
Yeah, icing Durant was awesome. Thanks joey
Low efficiency chucker.
My thoughts too. Gibson was a beast off the bench for the Bulls this year.
This was for not giving it to him last year
I thought this was going to be about Joey Crawford.
Have to agree with this. Crawford has never played D in his life and most of the time shoot the ball from anywhere no matter if his teammates are open or not. Hes like a Harden, Westbrook with less talent and more monkeyballness imo
terrible choice
Lmfao 'monkeyball' hahahha
The ? Crawford started 26 games this year...
taj gibson is so much better than him
Markeiff Morris got robbed. A projected 18-20 win team wins 48 games. He literally carried that team for stretches this year.
?? Goran Dragic?
it really should be best player off the bench for best team obvs.
Would be great to see Donald Sterling raising the trophy above his head, saying: "I always knew, he is one of my best n***as!"
Yeah, I said for stretches. Dragic put up the guady numbers but Morris hit a lot of the bigshots down the stretch of games.and since Dragic isn't eligible.
It'd be like saying Manu carried the Spurs for stretches which he did and then somebody coming back with ?? Parker? Duncan? Marco? Mills? Leonard?
Can't give the award to players who start 24 games. That defeats the purpose of the 6th man award but, the NBA is always about feel good stories so it doesn't come as a surprise.
Then Taj never had a chance because I would take a 48 win team from the west over a 48 win team from the east 10/10 times.
Manu already won "6" Man of the Year last season.....for the Heat.
Came in expecting a thread about Joey Crawford icing Durant, tbh.![]()
