I'm trying to remember if it was him that was saying the coach made a bad move to bring in one of their big guys, and then the big guy rebounded the miss and put it back in to force overtime. Can't remember the team or if it was him but whoever said that was a total moron.
Might be in the minority here but I don't mind him at all.
Sure he says some strange things and tends to ramble a little bit but you can see his passion and understanding of the game, ahead of a lot of other color commentators (Reggie, Kerr, Anthony etc)
I like him too. Him and Kerr are my top two as far as former players go.
He obviously knows bits and pieces of the game of basketball but when he puts it all together it ends up being a ty product imo
I agree. I actually enjoy Webber.
Hes not terrible thou. He means well but does spread a lot of missinformation that is probably ruining young basketball fans out there![]()
I like him over a lot of the other commentators out there
He went to UofM so I might be biased![]()
He rambles too much but he's not a huge got like Reggie so he's okay by me tbh.
It's just funny because for example he complained and complained about them force feeding Hibbert, then seemed to change his position partway through. Of course everyone at the halftime show was talking up how well Hibbert played.
don't like him at all... too much nikka-talk... he's miles better than Reggie though, but Reggie is like scrapping the bottom of the barrel... Kerr is at another level, IMO
I like Cwebb. he seems passionate about the game, whereas Reggie Miller acts like he's scoping out dudes for his post game banging.
My favorite color commentators (from national broadcast teams) are JVG, Kerr, and sometimes Hubie. Doug Collins was ok too
He's good when he tells stories.
Agreed. Webb is better as a TNT type guy vs in game, but he sounds intelligent, has a good personality and actually says insightful things. He's wrong sometimes, but so is everyone. Kerr is fantastic. Best blend of direct humor and in game analysis.
Just because the results in 3Q are ok, doesn't mean he's wrong. He's absolutely right. Hibberts job is not to score in most series, especially this one where WAS has capable bigs. He needs to defend and rebound. Hibbert is not a good offensive player and force feeding him is a losing strategy in most series.
I can't evaluate CWebb objectively since all I'm usually thinking is "Thank god it's not Reggie" when I hear Webber talk
I think it was a good idea, he needed to see the ball go in the hole for his confidence.
It's funny too because if you Google Chris Webber Commentator the first two results are:
Can we talk about how bad Chris Webber is as an announcer?
AND
I love Chris Webber as a commentator
Sure - but I am talking overall. Working fine this game, but even with his scoring they are down in a must win game at home.
True story tbh.
