Other nationally popular sports such as Football and Baseball wear helmets or hats so hair is cosmetically unimportant. The NBA is dominated by black players where baldness is the norm, and let's face it they pull it off so much better than white guys.
Think about it, where have you ever seen such a prominent bald spot in big time sports, increasingly contrasted with dark black hair to boot? And in an elite athlete who can still easily dunk a basketball no less?
This could be huge for all of us with thinning hair (and no mine is nowhere near as bad as Manu's).
As indicated, football players don't count they wear helmets to hide the bald spot. Also Bradshaw was blond which further diminishes. But dang, he had a raging bald do with those huge compensatory ham hock side burns, pretty epic!
Splits, that Duncan bald erase was also epic, nice one!
The last one, a soccer guy I never heard of?!? Nah!
Think of the endorsement opportunities that could await Manu!
