Mrs. Splitter, go make some tea for the team visiting your home tonight.
going back to last game hes now shooting 50% overall from the midrange area
71% if you include the right corner and 75% from the traditional 15-18ft area from the top of the key
http://vorped.com/bball/index.php/pl.../2013-2014-REG
he always had a pick and pop game in Europe and hes nailed the shots whenever he had the opportunity
vs the Blazers he took a confident shot with 12 seconds left on the block and drained it
tbh...

Playoffs tbh CIA Pop at work
Jesus Christ. You have to be kidding me. Splitter is garbage. The Spurs could have signed a real big man.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.
Far from garbage.
Part of me wishes he'd spend his off season playing streetball. Toughen him up a bit. Offensively, as a starter, he's about average for a center. Off the bench is where he is best suited to help the team.
Why did Tiago only play six minutes last night?
Some players will never be able to shed the soft label. That LeBron rejection forever cemented his soft label in the public eye.
Started his period and didn't have any pads or tampons so he sat on the bench
Disagree here.
Tiago is a soft but effective offensive player but hes one of the toughest defenders in the nba tbh...
only weakness he has is finishing in traffic on the move
he should as a 7 footer be able to finish over when a guard slides over to stop penetration but he rarely does
and if Pop released his pick and pop game then goodnight NBA
would be criminally underpayed tbh...
I agree. People don't realize he was key getting us their but that block has cemented his reputation.
Concur. But he was a little before the block. His anti_athleticism is testament to his ty weightroom work ethic
Tiago is a typical European style player who relies more on finesse than on power. He entered the league taking charges against PGs instead of defending the rim. He'd rather flip up a layup than dunk the ball. He's got some skills, one of the best at setting picks and does it enthusiastically, however he's not a power center. I'd take him over plenty other bigs in the league right now though.
Not really. Especially for price
its obvious at this point now after watching Splitter sink deep 2s in the past 3 games that this is a legit part of his game
on the season hes elite at basically every mid range area
meanwhile SA keeps going to this option
who is way below league average at every position
Duncan's mid range shot has been gone all season long and everytime he makes one he breaks into celebration with how broken it is right now
at this point Splitter should be taking a few more from outside to let Duncan play inside
Spurfan doesnt have to watch Splitter and his soft finishes they hate so much then
my favorite part of your argument is the sample size
still, i wish timmy used the bank shot
Come on man that sample size doesnt make sense, midrange 1-1 2-2 against 31-90 25-68.
Why doesn't Splitter take the shots then? If he nails them, Pop can't .
As for Tim, he's saving his legs for when matters, tbh.
obviously the sample size doesnt make sense since Splitter isnt allowed to shoot them by the coaching staff for whatever reason
and that chart isnt updated with the last 3 or 4 hes taken (and made)
most of you probably took and failed a Stats 101 class and all you retained is the word sample size
its obvious watching his shot and tape of him in Europe that he can shoot this shot and it would open up a lot of problems the starting unit is facing with spacing problems now that Tim cant buy an inside shot
Use the word "obvious" some more.
Splitter fears pop. Watch the games and you will see him looking to the bench several times. For someone who is near 30 years old, he lacks confidence. Shoot from where he feels confortable, attack the rim with confidence without fear to be scolded like a little brat. Splitter is a professional player, not a kid in the catholic school. I think Splitter lacks some maturity.
Splitter definitely is a confidence player and when hes going hes really good
but Pop doesnt do much to help his confidence
first season he has to "get over himself" even though hes probably one of the most selfless guys on the team
has to ride the pine in favor of Bonner/Blair who repeatedly get abused by everyone while Blair posts the worst defensive numbers for a starting center in the NBA
2nd season he breaks out and posts good numbers but his minutes remain low and then Pop blows up on him in the playoffs after not making a rotation the Spurs hadnt made all series
proceeds to bench him for the rest of the series in favor of a Diaw/Manu frontcourt
3rd season he finally gained the confidence of Pop to play with Duncan and the Spurs returned to an elite defensive team and went to the NBA Finals
4th season Pop lost trust in him and plays him less despite an aging Duncan and no viable backups
also has too watch the worst player in Spur history Errors come in and get his minutes no matter what while he was treated like too start his career
testify, my ! Testify!
