having to write a "The End" chapter in what was clearly to be a piece to post when OKC would be heading to the Finals...

    http://espn.go.com/nba/feature/video...nder-wild-ride

They had nothing ready for the Spurs advancing.

Yeah, that's pretty good. They expected to write a celebration piece and instead wrote a eulogy.

I think Kawhi's dunk was like No. 6/7 on their top 10 highlights behind some baseball plays tbh.

And that's when the Spurs outscored the Thunder 37-20 to take a 10-point lead into the fourth quarter. Because of course.
    Solid writing

That block/steal coupled with Tommy's shot was better than the dunk and didn't even make it

    Close Call
"That's a game-defining, and possibly series-defining call," Rivers said. But he wasn't done.
"That's a bunch of crap and y'all know it," he said.
"That was our ball. We got robbed."
"That was a brutal call and it cost us the game."
It only did because the Thunder were able to capitalize, winning the game 105-104 on three free throws from Russell Westbrook, as Kevin Durant sat with his back turned in the opposite corner.

    BTW nice book for kids.

I think Kawhi's dunk was like No. 6/7 on their top 10 highlights behind some baseball plays tbh.
That's bull . He broke Durant's ankles, dribbled through Westbrook's hacking steal attempt, then postrized the out of Ibaka. He literally went through OKC's best three players to get a thundering dunk. . .in a HALFCOURT SETTING. That's majorly impressive. Yet they put uncontested fast break dunks at #1-3 all the time.

LMFAO, does anyone see the bottom comments on that page? "Mike Brown" rips OKC a new asshole

Mike Brown · OKC blows, they had the refs and the refs can make any team look good, just look at Indy with ref help compared to without it... OKC is the same way, without it, they get blown out, with it, they barely win or like in Game 6, they still lose

Mike Brown · What wild run, they should have been gone in rounds 1 and 2 but the league gt them thru it and then in round 3, they got steam rolled even with ref help

It doesn't matter who's playing against SA, they will get more coverage, even if they lose. If the Thunder win, it's a huge "out of the ashes" story, while if they lose, it's "up and coming" type of stories. Meanwhile the not yet unlocked team in the silhouette there is the Spurs, every time, and they only get a passing mention. Sure there are some long winded relationship articles written about them, but every media personality (except a few) at ESPN has been embarrassed by the Spurs' successes this season. There's no story in what the Spurs have done. First ever b2b WC champs, not a story really because the league is full of teams who've never been to the show even once, much less b2b. Just mentioning it is really just saying "you've never won b2b rings" because no one really cares that you went to the Finals 2 consecutive times if you didn't win. No one knows the guy who bought the previous and subsequent lottery tickets, just the guy who won.

Then you have to consider the excuse that these are the down years because LA and Boston are ty teams and if they weren't, we wouldn't be talking about SA. That's why I think there will be a huge push to get Lebron to a bigger market this off season, win or lose.

OKC would be a moderate to low seed if they were forced to play by the actual rules. If refs enforced the rules against OKC like they do everyone else, then every game West would have a handful of techs, Ibaka would have a pair of goal tends, Fisher would pick up a flagrant, and West wouldn't get to to the line half as much as he does.

Someone needs to do one of those Hitler videos where Hitler is the NBA commissioner and all his lieutenants are telling him that OKC lost to the Spurs despite all the league-ordered help from the referees.
