It's great to finally have a marquee opponent the past two years. The Spurs are finally getting to show their stuff to everyone on the big stage. Can you imagine, if the Lakers or Spurs played in the Eastern conference in the 2000s, the epic finals we would have had during Tim and Kobe/Shaq primes.

Can't imagine the Lakers playing in the East since they are about as far to the west as you can get without drowning.

Of course I know neither are moving, I am just saying in the 2000s, the Lakers and Spurs were the best two teams in the NBA, many years with one or the other representing the Western Conference in the Finals. A hypothetical Lakers/Spurs Finals would be similar in ratings to the Heat/Spurs. Btw, did you know the Spurs were once in the Central Division with the Washington Bullets, Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, New Orleans Jazz and the Houston Rockets? Now that was a messed up travel schedule for the early Spurs.

They were still in Minneapolis in the 2000's? I completely forgot about that. That's right, they weren't.

the starting times for the World Cup games are more European friendly, so at least no collision on Thursday ... Brazilian Spurs fans just need to limit the drinking

Brazil's coast is two hours ahead of Eastern time. The inland is one hour ahead and West (which no games are going to play) is in Eastern time zone. A game starting at 8:30 in Rio and SP is actually 6:30 est, 5:30 cnt. That's the latest time you will get. Futbol matches usually last two hours. Will be over around 8:30 Est time. Just before the 9:00 Est time start for game 4.

I will be watching both games on Thursday.

Start time is 4:00 pm Eastern. Should be over by 6:00 pm well ahead of the NBA game.
