    ........In 1997 the Spurs drafted Tim Duncan with the #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft.

    Also on this day in 1999, the Spurs beat the Knicks in 5 games to win their 1st championship......and Tim Duncan was the MVP.


    ***If you could, would somebody mind posting pics of TD from draft day, the press conference with him holding the jersey, and of him in '99 against the Knicks? Thanks in advance!!
