NEW YORK (AP) -- The Brooklyn Nets say forward Andrei Kirilenko has opted to remain with the team for the second year of his contract.
Kirilenko will make $3.3 million next season in the final year of a two-year, $6.5 million deal he signed last summer.
The versatile forward from Russia was limited to 45 games by injuries last season, missing 26 early in the season because of back spasms, and averaged 5.0 points.

Spurs are doomed next season. Can't believe we gave our mid-level exception away last year instead of signing this guy!
Yeah, his family in Russia isn't getting bagfuls of cash. Nothing fishy about this deal at all.
Yep. Under the table cash is too much to pass up.
He joined the Nets because his comrade Prochochosv owns the team nothing fishy here![]()
Nets did the Spurs a favor.
Why give that long haired assbag a nickname like AK47 anyway? He's done nothing, nothing, in the NBA.
I wonder what would happen to his family if he opted out lol
In communist Russia, basketball play YOU
Is you sig a real advert? If so, it's cool.
(And like your avatar too!)
Until him "quintuple 5s" were almost as rare as quadruple doubles. Now, I haven't seen that from him in a while, but to say he does nothing is a little disingenuous.
OH NOES WE SHOULD HAVE SIGNED HIM
THAT TY FRONT OFFICE, I'M DONE WITH THIS TEAM
2014 NBA band wagon fan ^
When your initials are AK and you wear 47, you gave yourself the nickname.
He's the least overrated player from those mid/late 00's Jazz teams.

It is. And thanks on the Marissa Miller pic. Mmmmm baby!
How do you figure?
Good cause he looked done last year. Whewww... Spurs dodged another bullet ha.
Did you figure this out all on your own or did the other few thousand tongue in cheek posts clue you in?
That's exactly what I was thinking. Who said he'd even be allowed to opt out. If he made any kind of side deal with the owner, then there would probably be consequences if he screwed him over and opted out.
AK47 was the precursor to nicknames like CP3 and TP9. AK47 is a damn cool nickname imo, and is obv the reason Kirilenko chooses to wear #47.
Scrub, I'm still waiting to hear why you say I'm a bandwagon fan. Let's hear it.
Sure but Chris Paul has actually done in the NBA and Tony is a 4-time champion.
I still think that Paul George should have chosen to wear #13.
Must have been lots under the table the NBA couldn't prove tbqh.
