That's a very specific record..
Tim Duncan has lead more teammates to the NBA championship with the same team than anyone.
* more than Russell
* more than Jordan
* more than Magic
* more than anyone.
If you count other teams, Jabbar might have more, clever researchers here at spurstalk could find that out.
UPDATE: Timmy had 42 teammates who played with him in playoffs and won a ring with him!

That's a very specific record..
I'll stick with Duncan>Kobe
tim duncan has the record for most championships for any player with the initials TD
It isn't that specific a record. It's actually impressive. It means he's won more times with a constantly changing team around him instead of just winning with a mega stacked team in a short timeframe like most players who win multiple les do.
someone gotta make a list of these guys.
It's not arbitrarily specific...it's objectively a great accomplishment that anyone would wish to have.
I thought he had the record for simultaneous bowel movements with teammates.
Spurs roster, go at it folks!

He has the record for most championship teammates period.
Robert Horry probably has the record.
This person gets it.
OK, I did the research, counting only teammates who played in playoffs:
1999 >>> 11 teammates
2003 >>> 8 new teammates
2005 >>> 8 new teammates
2007 >>> 5 new teammates
2014 >>> 10 new teammates
TOTAL TIM DUNCAN TEAMMATES WHO WON RINGS >>> 42
Let's see who can do the research on the others mentioned in this thread, Russell, Jordan, Magic, Jabbar, Horry.
Counting teammates who only appeared in the playoffs, Robert Horry won rings with 51 other players.
good research, Timmy is within striking distance!
Tough though with maybe only Kyle Anderson to add next year.
TD is top 3,
and as high as 2,
as he may have already
passed Kareem.
Congrads TD.
Taking the 42 number as correct for Timmy, he has just passed Kareem, who had 41 different teammates in his 6 le seasons.
wow, that's amazing because Kareem did it with 2 teams.
One record I'm sure Tim has is most fellow lottery picks from his own draft class as teammates.
If you count the teammates that didn't play in the playoffs, the total goes up to 54.
Name them all. I did this and I counted 50.
Remember, there are players who are on the roster that get a ring but didn't play in the playoffs.
I'm aware of that, and I counted 54.
Tim helped 13 Players on 99 Team With Brandon Williams as the 14th player on the roster.
Tim helped 10 Players on 03 Team With Mengke Bateer as the 14th player on the roster.
Tim helped 9 Players on 05 Team With Beno Udrih as the 14th player on the roster.
Tim helped 7 Players on 07 Team With James White as the 14th player on the roster.
Tim helped 10 Players on 14 Team With Austin Daye as the 14th player on the roster.
Looks like it's only 49 players that he's helped get Rings as Spurs![]()
