He's a good backup for Splitter incase we won't resign Baynes..

He won't want to come to SA, tbh.
if he was loaded with options he'd be under contract
No way he is coming to SA. If you have ever seen this guy play he plays the most selfish basketball possible and really just wants to be a stats guy. Pretty much the exact opposite type of character the Spurs are looking for.

If not for his behavior, he could be a nice asset...he can do a lot of things and has very good hands. Maybe could be worth the risk on a long term deal at 3/5 millions per year with every other season as a team option...'cause if he commit to the team philosophy, he could be probably be or become the second best big on the team.
I think he'd shape up his act to be on the Spurs. He strikes me as a player whose at ude is only as good as his situation. He's been a good apple in Brooklyn, and I think he'd be a good on in SA, especially since he'd be playing a big role.
A Joseph/Manu/Beli/Diaw/Blatche bench would challenge for a playoff spot by themselves.
He's got talent, however on offense he isn't that efficient.
I also worry about his work ethic.
hes a beast, hes a headcase but i mean theres alot of em around the league someone shoulda picked him up alreadt idk what the hold up is.
Problem really is that he won't be cheaper than Baynes so not an alternative, Spurs won't pay higher for someone that doesn't know the system when Baynes has proven he will fill the role required.
Blatche fined 15K for obscene gesture by the league. Yes he would make a perfect Spur!
Sweet. We need a big who tries to be like Bynum by jacking up threes.
I have always wanted the SPURS to sign Blatche
So does that mean no one in the NBA made him any offers near that price range? Makes me wonder if he has some sort of serious character flaw that is keeping teams away from him?
Isn't he worth more than 2.5m in the NBA? What would the equivalent contract be in the NBA to net 2.5m?
I don't think it's a character flaw, it's more likely due to how he plays. He likes to be isolated and dribble his way to score. He's also very inefficient, taking a lot of poor shots.
Well hope he learns something playing in the Chinese league.
Some NBA players have been signed in March after a stint in China.
Or, it could be both.
