can't spin this tbh.... in the coaching hires thread i said i was terrified of hiring Musgrave. Thought Trestman would have been a slam dunk hire.

i guess i just have to hope

Why not Trestman? And why hire someone you fired?

Maybe it has something with offense style. 2004 Jaguars had Leftwich and Garrard as QB`s. I dont know them, but their QB style was probably much diffrent then that Derek Carr is playing.

Musgrave has been a mixed bag as far as his results. His best stint on his resume was being Atlanta's QB coach during Matt Ryan's first 3 years. my main impressions of him come from a good number of friends of mine who are big Vikings fans who texted me "welcome to " when I asked for their thoughts on Musgrave. his playcalling is supposedly ridiculously predictable (a lot of run-run-pass-punt type of stuff), and a lot of screens/draws on 3rd and long.

the only thing i can hope is that he learned something from working under chip kelly. this isn't a hire that thrills me at all, unless it means we're going to target Adrian Peterson

You have to be proactive here, perhaps convince some of your crazed Raider brethren to send threats to the front office. You know, the fans who have nothing left to live for, they're already thinking it anyways. And some of you guys are off the rocker so they'll take it seriously
