47K is 47K. It's one thing if the price of the car is less that 20% of your annual income and you just write a check for it. It's a whole different deal when it's 100% of your annual income and you finance it for 5-6 years at stupid interest rates. , I haven't bought a new car for personal use in 15 years...I will buy cherry pre-owned vehicles 2-3 years old under 40K miles at 50% off original sticker and let some other idiot take that new car depreciation hit.
