Both defensively and offensively, he has made significant improvements.

The best part is that Kawhi straddles the space between being the Defensive spearhead, offensive role player & being the primary option when it is necessary to do so.

Great article, and I like Pop's comment in the last paragraph that expresses verbally what so much of us have seen on the court...It is Pop's job to figure out how to incorporate Kawhi into the offense and give him a bigger offensive role while not screwing up the thing that got the Spurs so far last year....Kawhi being primarily a defensive specialist and three-point shooter with occasional flashes of offensive brilliance.

It has not been an altogether pretty thing to watch this season. But if we are going to change the offense, we have to go through these awkward steps. Sure hope Pop figures it out and Kawhi is happy with whatever it is that Pop decides.

    Well-done article, really.
