    At the most he should be getting 10-11 million per season based on last year's production. Before last season he was a 6-7 mill player.

    This. Leonard is a max player unless he has a career threatening injury. Green though, if Thompson pulls this kind of money I could see teams throwing $13-$14 million a season at Green, which I never see the Spurs paying.

    Plus could have moved Lee in the trade and brought in an a few role guys with him. They signed Livingston anyway and had Iggy, so why hold onto Thompson at all costs?

    I think it was actually Minnesota that balked on that offer instead as they may not have wanted Klay at this salary
