Team without timeouts shouldn't be allowed to save game by calling timeout if they have none. Spurs miss tech ft...gets a 5 sec violation or misses both free throws after being fouled. Clips get ball back with chance to win....Should be a time run off like in nfl.

Nah, current rule is fine. If the Clips called a timeout and the Spurs let their guard down and the Clippers scored, everyone would be outraged. A free throw plus an automatic turnover is more than enough.

Even though Spurs got the ball back, the Clips had a chance to steal it with a second to score. ... It is a stupid rule either way
